Thanks SC and hetty ❤
The monthly mortgage payment has come off and the new total is £60,677.23. I've just done an OP of £77.23 to round it down. As I will never go back over £61k that's another box crossed off my chart! 2021 is off to a good start 😃
My game streaming has been going well and I got a donation by PayPal of £25 over new year and some new subscriptions, so I am hoping to get a payout from that this month. We got an email from our M.D. saying it's business as usual on Monday even though we're in tier 4. I plan on doing some complaining to my supervisor on Monday as I do not feel covid secure in the office!
BF has had some good news in that he has an interview and assessment for a new job on Wednesday! It's over Teams and from 9:30am - 1pm so he'll have to take the day off work but I'm crossing everything that he gets it. He's really excited about the job and it would be a big boost to our income. We'll be spending tomorrow testing teams and making sure everything is working correctly and then digging out a shirt and tie!
My mum has posted through some Prima magazines, so those will keep occupied for a few nights this week. 🙂

I hardly slept last night worrying about work. Went in this morning and spoke to my boss, told him I didn't feel safe at work (theres 15 of us in one building, sharing one small kitchen and two toilets) and that with this new strain, I'm scared and that my new year resolution is to look after myself more. He said he had a meeting with the M.D and would come back to me. An hour later I was told that by the end of this week I will be working from home full time and only need to pop in for paperwork etc. IT should be coming to the house to sort out a router so I can have my own work phone. I'm so relieved and wish I'd put my foot down sooner! Although, we now need to wait and see what Boris has to say at 8pm. Some people in the factory have already been furloughed, I'm wondering if we all will be again soon enough. I can't help thinking it would be the right thing to do and take advantage of the furlough scheme while it's still in place.
Take care and stay safe xMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
