Hopefully you won’t get it Jessie, keep your distance from BF just incase! Sc we are in the thick of it here for sure, our factory is in the borough with the highest rate in the whole of London too 🙄 and weirdly our town which is a few towns away from the factory has also been named nationally as a hot spot!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Dog sounds like he is coming on a treat 😊
By the sound of it you’ll be converting the bosses to the idea of working from home permanently if you keep that sort of productivity up!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Just checked the mortgage balance and it is £60,600. The interest still needs to be added on towards the end of the month so I'm not getting under £60k in January but it's certainly achievable in February. I can't wait to be in the 50s! 😀

I had the day off work today, it was lovely! After telling my boss about me working my bottom off last week, he gave me an extra days holiday as a reward (pay rise would have been nicer but better than nothing), so I decided to take it before he forgot about it. The new lady that started after Christmas seems to be getting on well and hopefully by the end of next week, she'll be ok working on her own and I won't have to supervise over Teams all day everyday and I can concentrate on my own job. Some roles have come up internally which I am considering applying for but I don't want to risk not being able to work from home, which is working really well for me and is proving good for my mental health. I'll have a think over the weekend.
I got a payout from my video game streaming and was able to pay off another £100 from the mortgage. It now stands at £60,500. Maybe I will be able to get under £60k at the end of January after all 😃
I logged my electric and gas meter readings this morning and after working from home and how much the previous supplier wanted to charge us, I was shocked when I got an email with the updated bill and that I was still in credit and that they advised I should lower my DD from £75.50 to £17!!! I can't believe it, I'm convinced they've calculated something wrong but I'm sure they'll put it back up if they need to 😂
BF still hadn't heard about his interview earlier this week, so I convinced him to email them. I told him it will get him out of limbo and it will show he is still interested in the job. They responded advising that it was a really busy time in recruitment and no decisions had been made yet, so there is still hope! I really want him to get it, it's something he really wants to do, it would be a huge boost to his confidence and the pay rise would certainly help us with getting rid of this mortgage and then getting our forever home. Fingers crossed 🙂
Shopping is coming on Tuesday and we certainly need it! The freezer stores are running low 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Ooh, some good news there Jessy! Any chance you can ask about working from home in the new role before you apply? Excellent news on the mortgage!3
