We're in the 50s!!! £59,800 to be exact! I'm so happy! 😀
I really want to get rid of this mortgage asap and I'm trying my best to do it!
I've applied for one of the job roles at our company, I'm not holding my breath because I currently do a job that no one else wants to do and not to blow my own trumpet but I'm good at it. But I thought I'd try, otherwise I will regret it.
Not a lot else to report really, we got paid yesterday which is why I was able to overpay the mortgage. I've worked out the budget for the month and I'm going to reduce the shopping spend, as we still have so many tins in the cupboard and I found 5 tubes of toothpaste in the bathroom cabinet! 😂
Hope you're all well x

Well done on getting into the 50s!
Even if you don't get the job it shows you are open to new opportunities and to discuss what you want to change in your current role.

Thank you for the concern ❤
In all honesty, I haven't been very well. My mental health took a bit of a dive and the doctors prescribed some new medication, the side effects of which have been kicking my behind and I had to take a few days off work. Luckily I'm salaried so didn't lose out on any pay and my health has since improved. I had a frank conversation with my boss about how having two people's jobs to do is just too much and how after 3 years, I'm fed up of doing customer complaints. It has been agreed that my job will change from customer complaints to the other job I have been doing which is order processing full time and they will get someone else in to do customer complaints. Hopefully this will all be finalised in the next couple of weeks and is quite a relief, so although I hit a rough patch there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel.
In mortgage news, I have made an overpayment today and the new balance is £59,500.
BF has now paid off all of his credit card and has opened an investment account. I've created a monster 😂
