    It's payday!! 😀

Me and BF are still in bed, we're having a lazy day....

I've just made an overpayment of £195.27
I read that first bit and thought "Yeah right is she having a lazy day, she'll be account fiddling".... then I read the next bit and thought "Aha, I'm right!" 🤣 You can't keep a good MFW down!

The EF is a tricky one isn't it? How long would £5k give you and do you think you would find something else in that timescale should the worst happen?

Haha! Us MFWs know each other so well, SC! 😂

It would take me about 4/5 months to save up the £5k EF on my own.
BF has just over £2k saved so that together with the savings I already have is £4.5k and would see us through 6 months if we were both to lose our jobs because we work for the same company. If we were unemployed as well as looking for I job I could stream my video gaming more, which would give a bit of extra money each month. I think on the whole we're in a good position, I guess I just want it to be better to be on the safe side!

That's a great position to be in then! It's a matter of personal choice really, I had £10k but now I've sat down and really crunched the numbers, I've realised I could live quite comfortably on £8k for 6 months, so that's my "safe" number now. Different strokes for different folks and all that 😀 It's all about what will make you sleep at night!

Oh, and knowing I can hack another chunk off the amount needed in an EF once the mortgage is gone is making me very motivated as well!
