Hi Guys,
Hope you are well. Back to the drama this morning, the directors all had a meeting in the yard, in a big circle so they were all 2m apart, it was quite the sight (and rather amusing!). We are still carrying on as normal, for now, but we have to make sure that we are 2m from each other in the office. I don't have to move, as I am 2m away from the guy who sits opposite me, we had a bit of laugh with the tape measure and as long as we don't lean forward, we're fine! lol. I still think that the best way to do things would be to have half of us in the office in the morning (there are 4 of us in our department and 1 supervisor), while the other half work from home and then swap in the afternoon, thus reducing our risk but that has fallen on deaf ears, again. They have staggered breaktimes in the factory where BF works to reduce the amount of people all sat in the canteen together, it doesn't really matter to BF as he comes home to check on the dogs anyway and spends his breaks here, but atleast they seem to be finally taking a bit more notice to people's concerns and government advice. I still think we are 2 weeks behind a lot of other companies but we shall see what they do next! In the meantime, I am still grateful I have a job and am being paid.
Lunch was minestrone soup and bread (finally managed to get a loaf from the C0 0p). I have 9 tins left in the cupboard that we have for lunches (soups, macaroni cheese, cheese ravioli and spaghetti hoops) so that's lunches for the rest of this week and all of next week. Tea will be L1nd4 McC4rtn3y mozzarella burgers and wedges.
I will have to order some more dog food and budgie stuff from amazon to be delivered to my mum's as unfortunately, the local pet shop has closedI do hope they are able to reopen after all this is over.

Glad your work have finally seen some sense Jessy. I can understand them burying their heads in the sand a bit but there needs to be some leadership within organisations sometimes!
I'm completely working from home now, which is fine (I've always worked from home at least a couple of days a week so I'm well set up for it). Do need to make sure I keep standing up though... Done far too much sitting down already this last week!3 -

I'm currently watching last night's Dispatches - Coronavirus: How to self isolate on all4, quite informative so would recommend a watch.
I've ordered the dog food and budgie stuff to go to my mum's. I've told her the dates they're due to arrive and she will put a sign on her door so they know where to leave it.
I'm also doing my daily target in Swagbucks. I'm trying to keep this going because even a fiver a month is better than nothing.
Me and bf are going to have a chat in a bit about work and money. He's able to do overtime at work but they've now put a stop to this to save money in case they need to shut down. They have now offered him to work extra hours and bank them, so if we do get shut down due to government guidelines, he would get the 80% the government is offering but also get the rest of the money from his banked hours (only at normal pay, not time and a half, which is his usual overtime rate). The alternative is to use the banked hours as time in lieu. We'll also be looking at the outgoings we have and our savings. I've already gone through the cupboards, fridge and freezer to organise meals and when we need to shop.
I'll keep you posted!

I'm also very unclear on the 'exercise once a day' rule. I have two dogs and we don't have a garden so we take them out four times a day, once first thing in the morning, when I come home at lunch, after work and just before bed. I can do the morning walk and BF the after work walk but the dogs will still need to go out twice more. There is a small piece of no man's land grass across the road which hopefully we'll be able to let the dogs use as it's within 50m of our house and I have heard this is the rule they brought in in Italy. We shall see! (I'd also just like to say, I am a responsible dog owner and always pick up after them!)

Let's hope they let you work from home. I agree, it's tricky advice and not entirely clear - I don't think we've reached the situation in parts of Italy where literally everything is shut down if it's not essential to the 'war effort', so I guess your business is entitled to carry on for now, although whether that's sensible is another matter.
I think you'll be fine to take them out to the grass the other two times - they have to let you do that!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks vix!
Well, we went to work as usual, BF is working as normal in the factory until they can no longer do so, either by being shut down by the government or the work dries up. It's not ideal as there is a higher risk of catching it with the amount of people in there but they are trying to reduce it as much as they can and he is still being paid 100% of his pay. I, on the other hand have been told I can work from home for the next 3 weeks minimum. I'm really relieved, it feels like I've been living in limbo the past couple of weeks and a weight has now been lifted. I'm quite tired tonight because there was a lot of rushing around trying to get everything I need to bring home but it's sorted now and I was able to work all afternoon. My supervisor called to check up on me, asking what I had planned for our engineer, I think she'd assumed I hadn't done anything so sounded quite shocked when I turned around and told her I'd already sorted everything out for the rest of the week and had already spoken to the engineer about it! Yay me!
We should get our pay slips tomorrow ready for when we get paid on Friday, it means I can start plotting! I do need a new printer so I might treat myself and then the rest can go in savings.
