Day 1 of lockdown: I woke up about 7am and took the dogs out. Got a cup of tea and slowly woke up. Me and BF did a 10min beginners yoga video on YouTube, which was nice. I went to work to drop off some files and had a chat with a couple of work colleagues who were having to go in for the rest of the week to finish off some work for year end. My bestie at work, who is the Procurement Manger, procured me some toilet rolls and hand soap, no one at work to use them and they'd had a delivery the day before we shut down, so why not! Walked to the C0 0p and got a few bits and finally a loaf of bread! That'll be the last time I can go in for a little while, there was a sign saying they'd noticed people were popping in everyday to get the same stuff and seeing as it's a small village, they recognise the same people and they were going to put a stop to it. To be fair, I'm not one of these people but I don't want to be responsible for someone who is desperate for something not getting it because I had got it but not needed it.ย
We watched the Shawshank Redemption and had a cheese and pickle baguette for lunch. We then did something super naughty, we had an afternoon nap!!ย
When we woke up, we had our 1hr daily exercise and took the dogs for a lovely walk, the park had a tree in blossom and it was gorgeous, photo below.
We then had stuffed mushrooms and jacket potato for tea. We're now chilling out, I've done some surveys and now doing my swagbucks.ย
Take care and stay safe x

Morning all! Hope you are well!
Day 2: I logged onto Natwest this morning to look at the mortgage and the interest of ยฃ190 exactly has been added on for the month. This was less than expected so that made me smile. I've paid the ยฃ90 to round the mortgage down to ยฃ66,800. According to the mortgage overpayment calculator by doing this I have saved ยฃ117 in interest and 1 month off my mortgage term.
We have been paid today so I've put ยฃ100 straight into savings (Nationwide are running a competition where if you put ยฃ100+ into one of their ISAs by 30/04/20 you could win ยฃ20,000) . I've got a few purchases to clear out of my current account - my C0 0p shop from yesterday and Netlix. I will then do a TT into my savings account. Once the normal mortgage payment of ยฃ353.21 goes out, the mortgage will be ยฃ66,446.79. I'll do a payment of ยฃ46.79 to round it down to ยฃ66,400 and the rest of the money I would have used for mortgage overpayments will go into savings. We've had a letter from work this morning confirming the furlough and 80% pay.
We did another 10min yoga video for beginners again this morning and I hope to do this everyday to keep us a bit more active. I'm now doing a few surveys and doing my swagbucks daily goal. I've noticed on my swagbucks watch that the videos have now gone up to watch 25 for 1SB - bit pants! BF is learning a new song on his guitar so that will keep him quiet for a bit but it is nice to hear, he is very good and used to be a teacher.
I've found some Gardeners World magazines from 2018 that I received when I had a subscription. I never got round to reading them because it was the year I left Yorkshire but did bring them with me (The subscription was cancelled before I left). I'm going to read these today and then pass them onto my grandparents. My nan rang yesterday to say they are well but she is getting bored, even in her 80s my nan is very active and goes to several bingo nights in the village and surrounding villages, as well as her weekly knit and natter at the local village hall, so she is finding this very difficult. She asked me to order her a couple of puzzles, which I have done. I ending up getting them from Waterstones because pretty much all of them on Amazon were out of stock!! I do have a Waterstones card so I will get some points and I can use those towards a book at some point or maybe a birthday present.
Lunch will be tomato soup with the rest of the baguette left over from yesterday. Tea will be fajitas. I'm grateful that I have been a meal planner for a few years now so having to do this is nothing new and comes easily. I'm sure there will be people out there struggling to do this as they have never had to before!ย
Oh and I need to catch up on Martin Lewis's show last night.

You sound cheerful and organised, which is lovely
Enjoy the music and stay well. X
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy4 -

I've read one and got 3 to go. I've also got to catch up on Friday's episode.ย
I hope you get some time to relax, hetty! Are you able to slip him some whiskey so he takes a nap or is that frowned upon in the parental world?! ๐Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 ยฃ14,900.
