Day 3: We did the washing and took it round to my parents house to use their washing line, mum had left the pegs outside for us. It smelt so nice and fresh when we picked it up in the afternoon! Mum had also been baking so she left us some chocolate cupcakes! Yummy!

I cooked our usual Saturday morning breakfast of potato waffles, eggs, beans and plum tomatoes. We're thinking of braving a trip to M0rr1s0ns this week to get a decent shop but I don't know what it's going to be like and it does make me feel a bit anxious. Tea was Indian, so Bombay potatoes, mushroom rice and mango chutney on the side, we did have naan bread but admittedly it was shop bought, not homemade.

We watched some more of The Last Ship and Spenser Confidential on Netflix, I like Mark Whalberg and it was an easy watch but not his best film. I got my daily target on swagbucks but didn't qualify for any other surveys on other sites, which is extremely frustrating at times!

The highlight of the day was my pigsaw arriving! I can't wait to do it, might even frame it to put on the wall when I've finished!

Take care and stay safe x

Ooh, I'm loving the pigsaw! Keep thinking I might get into jigsaws, it feels like it might be a calming thing to do - and might also make me see the hated laminate floor in a more positive light (although sitting closer to it might just wind me up even more)

Definitely recommend doing some jigsaws, SC. I have one of those boards that folds up so you can carry it and put it out of the way.
Oh dear, what flooring would you prefer? Maybe now is the perfect time to learn how to lay a carpet or tiles! 😂

Love the pigsaw! Sadly two mischievous cats mean that jigsaws aren’t really an option here, even though I love the satisfaction of completing one!

Carpet, definitely! I can't bear the fact it's always covered in bits, even after I hoover (have just picked something off the bottom of my foot, despite only hoovering an hour ago 😠). I know it would all still be there with carpet, but I wouldn't be able to see it and it's the seeing that drives me mad!!!

Agreed, and carpet holds the bits down so they don’t stick to your sock!! And it’s warm too.

Mmhmm carpet! We only have carpet in the bedroom, the rest of the house is lino that's meant to look like laminate. Don't get me wrong it looks alright but they didn't bother putting any underlay down so it's straight on concrete and it's hard and cold. Once the boiler is done my plan will be to save up and have the bathroom floor tiled and the kitchen/living room/hall will have proper wooden flooring.

Ooo @Moneyfordreams what a great idea! The thought of doing them on my tablet never crossed my mind! Thank you

I use jiggidy for online puzzles, but it’s more screen time whereas a proper old fashioned puzzle would be a nice break from technology. Now I’ve retrieved the dining table by giving Mr TMV my desk, perhaps I’ll see if the cats have grown out of destroying puzzles....
