Freeze any leftover peppers before they go off - little bits will add up for soup (personally, I'd roast/ grill them and remove the skins and then freeze, as the flavour is intensified,) or freeze and throw in chilli, spag bol etc

I also hate food waste 😁😁
Oooo thank you for this greent, great mse tip! 😀

I know it should be 3 months wages, so I always think I'm way behind really!
I always think multiples of wages is irrelevant if you are looking to cover yourself in a job loss situation. If you have capacity to make OP's, then you have the capacity to drop things from the budget if you need to. 3 months' expenses would be more accurate, that's what my EF is based on 👍
It doesn't hurt to have a bit more for the EF, but if you are to have savings as well I guess the point is moot!

DH is soo sweet to think of you and give you flowers, we should all be so lucky to have such a considerate partner.

Some people swear by having six months wages/ expenses especially now it may take longer to get a job. Also bear in mind that DH works at the same place as you if one of you go, chances are the other will too...Perhaps suggest to him to have an EF too, Just a thoughtXX

That was my thought too.  If the company goes bust you would both loose your jobs so you will both need a EF to cover the expenses

Thanks both. This has already been considered and I am happy to report that my MSE ways have rubbed off on DH and he is now a big saver, so I don't need to worry about anything from his side of things 🙂

Streaming has been fun this weekend, I've been playing a cowboy game and even bought a stetson to wear. My American viewers haven't been overly impressed with my attempts at American accents though 🤣

    this is v fun!

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
