A nice slow day today. We didn't get snow just rain, so it's been cold and miserable here.

I went back to bed after walking the dogs and had a nice lay in. After getting up, I cleaned out the budgies and hoovered round. Had some dinner and streamed this afternoon. Just had the rest of the quiche, jacket potato and salad for tea.

I have had to buy some shoe storage today. We have a rack that we took from someone that was throwing it away but it doesn't have a back so I've found the wall behind it is getting dirty and damaged from when we chuck our shoes on it, so I've bought some stackable boxes from Amazon that I got a voucher on as well, so only £15 for 6. This should do us nicely (we only have a few pairs that we keep by the door, the posh shoes are in the wardrobe!)

I've got a full day at work tomorrow and then a 2 hour cleaning job after, so will try and get an early night, so I have plenty of energy 🙂

I read up to page 77 so far it all sounds great what you have achieved, you have a cleaning job crikey gal, that really is motivation, I presume you have done that to get some more cash to pay off the mortgage sooner - good idea - This is something I would do if I had the energy. It is also interesting reading through covid times although you did worry for your job a lot, rightly so, I was out of work at the time because of covid and it was not a good time to get a job!! I do wonder if you are in the same job now as then (maybe different job title)? I guess I should read to find out. But I wonder because you were itching to move on at some points I never did find out if it got better? It must have done or you changed jobs? Enjoy your early night...all the best CrazyBeeXX

I have now read it all...Very much congratulations for all the promotions you have gained and perservering with the same company seems to have paid off...well done. Congratulations for the proposal and the wedding and you looked absolutely beautiful honestly you should be on you tube!! Astrid is a real beauty. Sorry for your loss of your Nan, so sad for the passing of such important people in our lives. Well done on reducing hours at work so that you looked after your mental health. Sorry to hear of your burns and as I have said already glad the big bully has now gone. Your diary is an interesting read, and it is making me reconsider the path I take with regards my own diary and journey and what I want to achieve. Thank youXX

It has been a bit of rubbish week. Unfortunately, I had to give up one of my regular weekly cleaning jobs (please don't be eating when you read this next part) It has always been what I would call a challenging clean and I have cleaned up some messes that I'm sure most people would have refused to, but when I went this week I was told there was an unpleasant job to do in the downstairs loo and that they had been procrastinating over cleaning it up. I opened the door to find human excrement all over the floor, on the skirting board, smeared in the sink, on the toilet seat and flusher button and then all in the toilet. It had dried, so had been left like that for some time. I cleaned it up and did the 2hours I had been asked to do. When I left I discussed this with DH and decided that for my own mental and physical health that I will not be going back to this customer. I have informed them of this and I feel really bad about it, but I had to do it. I know I'm cleaner but I would never expect anyone to clean up such a mess unless I was physically incapable of doing it myself.
This will obviously impact my monthly extra income, but again for my own mental and physical health it is necessary.

I had my haircut on Wednesday which was £39 and then two bags of dog food delivered which totaled £100, so quite an expensive week!

I have had a nice lay in this morning and my in laws bought me an electric blanket for Christmas which has been amazing in this cold weather. We're going to my parents shortly for tea so that will be a nice treat.

Have a good weekend and sorry for the yucky story!!! X

OMG that is terrible, I can't blame you at all...it sounds like they were taking the michael, I would have walked out, if it was me and left them to it, that is terrible, I would feel they did it delibertaley unless there is someone that has no mind and no ability to move! Well done on saying no - tbh honest I am surprised you are taking up the cleaning jobs I would have thought that because you love streaming you would just do that, unless you enjoy some of the other cleaning/ gardening jobs you have? Anyhow it is totally your story don't mind my interfering..Enjoy your weekendXX P.S As an after thought, it is probably better exercise.

Gosh, sorry to hear about the cleaning job. Sounds like that person might need more support than a cleaner... but at any rate, it's for you to decide what fits in with you life and what doesn't, so well done for making the decision.

You asked about audio books. I listen to them a lot! Often while driving (I have an hour each way commute in the car, not every day, but there's not much else I can do while driving). Also while walking, gardening, pottering round the house, sewing, cooking... 😊 I feel like I should probably have a bit more silence really!

I pretty much always borrow them through the library app, so they can go straight back if the voice is too annoying 😂
