Well, firstly amazing news on getting into the 20's, and secondly you have inspired me to check myself in the shower this morning. I think everything you are doing/thinking is completely sensible, and I am keeping everything crossed for a clear result so that you can get back to finishing off that pesky mortgage with renewed vigour xxxMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Great news to be in the 20s!! - that's absolutely fantastic!
Fingers crossed re the scan 🤞 All I'd say is that more often than not these things are OK. And don't Google before you know anything for sure - that's a crazy rabbit hole to fall down.. xxxI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £204 -

Thank you Vix, SC and Greent ❤️ I appreciate the kind comments about the mortgage and health concern ❤️
I met with my bestie today and she told me I better be alright or she'll kill me herself, so yeah, I'm sure I'm going to be fine 🤣🤣🤣 (I must stress that wasn't the only thing she said and was very supportive, with nice hugs). We actually, had a really nice morning as my bestie and her DH have a great dane so they had gone to a great dane meet at a country park which isn't that far away from us, so we gate crashed with our 3 sighthounds. It was nice to see all the dogs playing together and we then had an ice cream at the cafe before coming home.
A work colleague gave me a rather large marrow this week, so I cut half of it into slices, took out the seeds and stuffed it with quorn mince, an onion, a pepper with seasoning in a tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella. The 2nd half I made into soup, doing it with an onion, a potato and seasoning, with a tsp of curry powder. Very pleased with how both turned out! I just wish I had more time to cook meals from fresh like this, although part of it is laziness! 😬

Sorry to hear you are waiting on the breast clinic, a very stressful time ☹️ nothing anyone says is going to put your mind at rest until you go but sending you positive vibes and best wishes, the waiting part of anything is always the worst bit! ❤️
love the best friend comment, it’s the best way to be, humour and friends always helps keep us calm I think 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Sending positive vibes for your tests, always good to get these things checked out early xx
And congratulations on your mortgage! Excellent work. Sounds like you've given yourself some good options with the cleaning work. Hopefully the challenging one will be less challenging next time 😊4 -
Best of luck with the scan results 🤞
A massive well done on the OPs, your side hustle business, and your plans for self employed expansion to steadily replace your employed job over time. All fantastic examples of taking firm control of your destiny and shaping your future to be what you want it to be 👏3 -
Thank you for the kind and supportive comments ❤️
Annoyingly, the hospital have pushed my appointment back a week 🙄 DH says to take it as a good sign because if they thought it was serious they wouldn't have pushed it back. I know what he's getting at, but I just want it to be over and done with! He is being extra caring and keeps telling me that he'll do stuff and I should go sit down. Bless him.
I had a lovely evening at a work colleagues house last night with some other ladies from work and it was really needed. Although too much food and wine was consumed, so this morning I was a little delicate! I did manage to do a cleaning job for an hour though, but cleaning the toilets was a real test 🤢
We're planning on having a ride out to a local woods tomorrow morning for a walk with the dogs, which I'm looking forward to. After that I have ton of shredding to do because when I was looking for my life insurance information, I found a load of documents that I don't need anymore. For some reason I had a load of online sopping receipts from when they used to print them out and give them to you when delivering your shopping, mostly from covid times!Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
