  • STS this week, happy enough as I knew I was on damage limitation. Only one problem to deal with this week, local scouts have an afternoon tea fundraiser tomorrow (celebrating their 85th anniversary so fundraising throughout the year for 5 charities). As I got a special invitation, I have to go, so will have a late breakfast and keep eating to a minimum while there, other than that, hopefully, as I seem to have a normal life next week, I will be able to lose for next week.

Pringles...hmm...... could he be charged with mental cruelty?

Denise, glad your feeling a little more human.

    Denise,

I really should not be surprised..... I once took £3500 out of his bank account, which I used to have laser hair removal, over my full body.... and when I say full... I really mean everywhere....

He did not and still has not realised that I am hairless or that the money was spent!

GTQ it's only one day, as long as you keep syn free the rest of the day you should be fine. Damage Limitation is the way to go - just keep the syns a bit lower the rest of the week and it should all balance out.

    Morning all,
Sorry I've been a bit AWOL this week - struggling to get on here at work, and then in the evening I just can't use the laptop as it's too uncomfy to sit with it still at the moment. Anyway, boss is off work today, so look who's being a naughty girl!!

Well done Gettingtherequickly Tete en l'air and TheTalkingDead on SOTW

Thank you Chris for the chart, and sorry to hear RL is pants right now. I think there must be something in the air at the moment, as quite a few of us seem to be having 'things' going on. I hope your struggles improve for you.

Denise, what a faff to-ing and fro-ing to the hospital. Do you have a kindle/book to while away the time? I have downloaded a great (free :money:) crossword app on my phone that helps to while away the time when I'm on days out with the OH to the !!!!! end of the country fetching motorbikes.

sunshinemummy you do make me laugh :rotfl: If it's any consolation pringles have that notorious nasty chemical in them that if you set them alight they burn with a blue flameand contain Acrylamide, which is said to be cancer causing. They contain so little potato, that they cannot even be called potato chips. Personally I'd go and make myself a batch of SW chips and sit with those smelling of vinegar while he eats his, I know which I'd prefer :A

    Meal plan yesterday was:
    B - 2 x small bananas
L - mixed leaf salad, carrot, cucumber, sweetcorn, beef super rice, Korean chicken (0.5) with l/f dressing (1.5); Costa Americano with cream (3)
    D - M&S reduced fat sausages (3), mash, beans, gravy (1)

Not enough speed in there at all, but just keeping within syns is an achievement right now, as bending into fridge, standing to cook is very difficult.

Not planning to cook dinner tonight, but then worrying about what to have. May just have a chicken salad. I am loving the flavoured chicken fillets from Aldi, which are only 1.5 syns for a whole pack, but taste amazing, and I have a couple chopped up in my salad for lunch. A little expensive at £1.89 per pack, but I have been lucky to find them with 50% off stickers on them each time I've been shopping :money:

    Meal plan today:
    B - banana & nectarine, apricot
L - mixed leaf salad, grated carrot, sweetcorn, cucumber, peppers, Korean chicken (0.5) dressing (1.5); 0% greek yog with nectarine, mango & strawberries
D - mixed leaf salad, grated carrot, sweetcorn, pepper, cucumber, tomato, lemon & garlic chicken (1), super rice, dressing (1.5)
snack - mini shredded wheat HEB
HEA - milk in tea/coffee; Americano with cream (3)

I brought a portion of the mini shredded wheat into work to have for breakfast, but think my banana is big enough to satisfy me for that, along with a nectarine, ooh, and I've got an apricot too, so adding that on the list. Thinking that I occasionally feel the need for a bit of a crunch/carby fix, and they will do better than the chocolate biscuits I turned down yesterday :A

Determined to stick to the plan as I'm fairly immobile at the mo, which is bound to have an effect on losses. Good news is that today I do feel a bit better than I have been for the past 2 weeks - although still feel like I've been kicked by a horse!

Wishing you all a happy, and enjoyable weekend, and the weather looks to be on the up too :j
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
