Hello, I'm seriously thinking of restarting a home SW programme but want to join first for 1-2 sessions to get the books.
Please does anyone know of any free membership offer out there? Thank you very much. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Welcome back Caterina. Haven't seen or heard about any free joining offers but at the moment it is half price joining fee so, I think, £4.95 plus weekly membership of £4.95 (£4.65 for OAP).
If you can manage to join today or tomorrow with a 12 week countdown there is a free book offer which might be worth thinking about.

Hi Denise, thank you for reply and your welcome message!
I saw the half price and book offers. Was hoping for free membership. Book no use to me as I'm chronically unable to follow recipes! Will wait to see if they do a freebie, usually they do near summer.
Meanwhile I'll keep an eye on this thread. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Welcome back Denise:D Hope you brought the sunshine with you, we need it!! No problem Caterina. Did you do SW before? If you did you could make use of the old books for the time being although there have been a few changes this year including an extra HEA, so now you can have milk and cheese on the same day if you want to. A lot of people don't bother with the extra HEA every day just now and again.
Thanks for the welcome back Bubbs. Unfortunately the weather in France the last few days was just as bad as it was here!
Menu plan and shopping done and back on plan from today!
Today's plan:
B - weetabix & milk - HEB + part HEA - no speed as didn't have any fruit in
L - jacket potato with cottage cheese & salad - mixed leaves, pepper, spring onion, cucumber & tomato
D - mixed bean goulash with rice (first time I've made this with cooking the dried beans rather than using a tin; fruit & jelly for pud might also have some quark or yoghurt with it and possibly some skinny syrup - will decide this evening when I eat it.
HEA1 & 2 - milk
HEB - weetabix
Syns - salad dressing 0.5; 4 marinaded olives 1.5

Evening All
A disappointing gain this week of +1/2lb
Was so annoyed yesterday I rebelled and didn't go jogging, however I didn't succumb to going off plan so quite pleased with that, small victories in changing bad habits I guess, last year I would have turned straight to a bar of chocolate, I know it's only a small gain but I so wanted to reach the next stone bracket.
Yesterday was
B muesli (hexb) nat yoghurt mixed berries
Cereal bar at 10:30
L none too busy at work to stop so worked through to 5:30 managed an apple on the train before parents evening.
Eventually home around 8 and had a chicken pasta bake with cheese (hexa) no real speed but very hectic and long day.
Today
B nat yoghurt, fruit
L lo diet cola chicken and rice (found in freezer!)
D Mexican pasta bake, peppers, kid bean cheese (hexa x2),
Hope you are enjoying your holiday despite the weather Denise
