I don’t think b) will happen, because even the likes of Rees mogg would back TM in preference to seeing the Tory government fail.

Remember no Tory government has a majority in the HoC anymore since the DUP have pulled their support on Brexit. Furthermore, staunch Remainers, like Dominic Greeve, Nicky Morgan and Ken Clarke, would not support a Boris No Deal Brexit and might either abstain or vote no confidence.

Why do you think the EU won't extend Article 50 in October?

If Con/Lab realizes that Brexit party is going to be pain on their backsides, they can swiftly change minds in favour of No Deal Brexit.

    Politicians are turncoats.

Probably because they have more important stuff to do then to accommodate the whims of brexit britain?

Things like China trade, Horizon 2020 program, CAP reform, energy policy,... you know, stuff that actually matters instead of hosting yet another dead-end meeting with whoever our brexit secretary might be by the end of October.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Although I did read (not sure where) that there is a possibility that the last, last extension could be into 2020 just prior to the new budget being approved ...... which would kick the can again.

Mark Francois, being interviewed on the BBC, seems to believe that a new leader will take us out of the EU on 31st October with no deal.

    (FWIW I hate the man)

It's a shame many Brexit voters don't understand what the word hubris means. Considering how pointedly relevant it is to their very situation.

I suppose it possible but the EU will be asking what is the point if we are making no progress.
At the moment it seems there is no plan other than bringing the WA back for the 4th time and the talks were never going to work but remove a whole host of objections I,e. “We did try our hardest to work cross-party”.

British business and people are sick and fed up of it.
How much money have we spent on preparations and pulling out of failed deals. I saw on the other thread £467million.

People are putting off buying homes, businesses can’t make investment decisions. I expect the CBI and similar organisations to shout about it.

That is just project fear, grab your pitchforks there are some immigrants trying to get into OUR country.

I'm not sure I disagree with him. If Boris becomes the new leader then he clearly has no idea what he's doing in any of the jobs he has ever done.

There are some morally bankrupt politicians that would vote for a no deal brexit, but I would hope there wouldn't be enough for it to pass.

That’s irrelevant to my point about uncertainty.
The uncertainty of customs arrangements, taxes and getting skilled workers are very real concerns.

    Let's have a general election

If Brexit party wins = no deal Brexit
If LibDem wins = stay in EU
If Labour or Conservative wins = half in half out (what does that mean?)

    Simple
