Great win by Liverpool by only one goal tonight, 4-3. But Barcelona are already insisting on a 2/5th stake of the final to reflect their goal tally, because that's how life works these days?

It was never possible to be swift and clean.

It's going to take generations before the damage to our world status can be repaired.

Of course it was possible, we serve Article 50 and it tells everyone when we will leave. Simple but our politicians have reneged on their obligations.
If you think it is going to take generations let's get on with it rather than wasting any more time :) However, I just cannot fathom how you have so little faith and confidence in your compatriots and why you consider they do not have the abilities, aptitude, determination and application to deliver agains those challenges.

It's the widest possible choice, out doesn't mean anything. The wishful thinking shy racists saw it as not having to put up with foreigners in any situation at all, but it was generally sold as "nobody is suggesting leaving the single market".

You need to narrow it down somewhat, whats happening at the moment is that leave voters are subconsciously becoming more racist & it's in our own interests to stop that..

Phill you are spouting utter drivel again. Your preconceptions of why people voted leave are wide of the mark and actually irrelevant. I think you mentioned elsewhere you know one person that voted for Brexit. I can only assume you are basing your bigoted and unsubstantiated stereotyping on your relationship with that individual.

You need to brighten up, get out more and meet some real people and live a fulfilling life. Moping around always looking to blame others for the decisions they have made will only make you sour!

    Brexit is dead and buried.

The council elections, with big gains for parties on a Remain manifesto (LD & Green) tell us the mood has changed.

Yes, I do expect the deplorables to flock to the brexit party coming EU elections, but in much smaller numbers than recent polling suggests.

The future is bright, the future is Remain.

I think you need to wait until EU elections to say that. Hardly any leave Partys in locals just UKIP who fought less than 20% of seats.

Cannot get any narrower choice than in or out. ;)

In or out was too vague as to be essentially meaningless. What does in mean? What does out mean?

After the 2017 election, I clearly remember the usual suspects on here proclaiming +80% of the electorate voted for Leave supporting parties.
You mean they aren't Leave supporting parties then?
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Events have shown that Labour isn't and in main Tory's do not support a hard brexit. I'm surprised Labour have still got the level of support they have as they seem to be alienating both their remain and leave supporters.

I interpreted it as IN meaning to continue the status quo & OUT meaning to change to something else.

It's the "Something else" that's causing the problem because no-one can agree what it is.

Brexit means Brexit means F. All.

But status quo is not really a fixed thing. There are talk of even closer integration, EU army, new countries joining etc.

People joined EEC trade block historically which morphed into current political EU.

So you think we should leave just in case something bad happens. Like Turkey joining for example? Or the EU army which cannot forced on us due to our veto?
