Look over there! Democratic deficit in the EU!

Parliamentary democracy old boy, parliamentary democracy. :)
I look forward to Magic Grandpa unifying the brave remain forces in parliament in order to sweep the democratic abomination that is Boris out of power. Should be easy enough. <snigger> :)

The post war generation of arch-Euro federalists that dominate EU institutions cannot last forever. The argument that Europeans need a supranational entity and it’s goal of ‘ever closer Union’ , in order to stop us warring with each other is a 20th Century anachronism.

The concept of the EU was of course founded post war. When the USSR controlled eastern europe and Germany was divided. Spain had Franco. Albania was a closed state. Very different now.

Can you explain why else they are so quick to believe all the lies told by the leave campaign? There has to be some prejudice that makes it easier to believe anti EU rhetoric. People don't want to admit it, but that prejudice is racist and xenophobic.

A disgusting way to classify the 17.4 million that voted leave.

A broken record. Seems to be fixated with that observation. Very concerning.

Who you calling old boy :)

Grandpa is a brexiteer. Of course he's not going to unify remain forces.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Remainers: "You can't entrust a decision as important as membership of the EU to the morons who make up the general electorate, it's madness"

*a self-selecting group of 160,000 people who are statistically more prosperous and therefore more intelligent and well-informed than the average elect the Prime Minister, and in so doing decide whether or not the UK will leave the EU*

Remainers: "Democratic deficit wooooo, you can't make a decision like that without letting all the morons vote as well"

    Literally never happy.

Disgusting that only 160,000 people have decided on our new PM.
Let’s get rid and replace him with someone who has been democratically selected for the position instead. Maybe Ken Clarke or Harriet Harman?

Any reason why you think targetted and personal abuse is required?

I presume you think calling 17.4 million racist and xenophobic is an accurate summary.
