Will Brexit happen?

The brexit supporters that I know (generally intelligent successful people) won’t be happy with a fudge.
I think a lot will be unhappy but if it’s technically brexit they won’t have the justification for saying that brexit wasn’t honoured.
So I think we’re not really leaving and I’m happy with that.0 -

Unfortunately if (when?) it goes t1t5 up, the "faithful" will be saying how it would have been better if we'd listened to them & just crashed out.
We will have also given up an influence we had in the future direction of progress by no longer being a partner.0 -
What do you anticipate will go wrong if we have a soft brexit?
Surely that’s as close to the status quo as were going to get? And well remove the uncertainty.
I agree it will be worse than what we have now, but what can we do about losing influence? the majority want us to lose that influence.
Yes of course some will be unhappy, I think that’s inevitable whatever happens, but I see a soft brexit as the best option as we maintain democracry, avoid riots and avoid the disaster of crashing out.
If we were going to leave with no deal we should we doing it in a planned way not crashing out at the last minute,0 -

I think that if we don't leave or BRINO it will not end there, also I think that people who think we can remain and everything will go back to as it was before are mistaken yes we can revoke article 50 but our position has been weakened and I'm sure the EU will want to take advantage of that.1 -

Pandora's Box has been opened.
There will be no end to this for decades if we have anything resembling a hard Brexit like May's deal.
The only way there is ever a hope of bringing a majority of the country back together is with the softest possible Brexit such as EEA, that removes the UK from the political project of the EU, but keeps the economic and social benefits of the Single Market.I think that people who think we can remain and everything will go back to as it was before are mistaken yes we can revoke article 50 but our position has been weakened and I'm sure the EU will want to take advantage of that.
Our position would be weaker still outside the EU and we wouldn't have a veto or a vote.
If we want to ensure the strongest possible position then we should revoke article 50 and Remain.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Yeah, disrespecting the will of the people of the very first election. It's a disgrace.
You're only allowed to vote on one thing once, ever.
Theresa May offering Jeremy Corbyn a concession that is only valid until the next election is the biggest con since the leave campaign. https://inews.co.uk/news/brexit/brexit-latest-news-theresa-may-deal-jeremy-corbyn/
An election is very different to a referendum. One is repeated every five years, the other is an answer to a question.
Just because you can't have your own way does not mean you can rewrite the way this country is run.
As for the concession being only valid until the next election, that is the way it works anyway. If the government could not change things the previous government put in place we would still have company wrecking closed shops, flying pickets, instant strikes and that sort of thing. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

What do you mean exactly?
They can’t for example take away our vet can they?
Or do you mean generally less supportive of the UK?
What can we expect after voting to leave and cause huge cost and distraction?
I agree we can’t expect to be at the heart but that’s our fault not theirs.
We’ve cause a massive amount of uncertainty, cost and distraction from other very important issues. How can we expect to be respected around the world? Or best buddies with the group we’ve said we want to leave?
We can’t blame anyone else for that.
I’d say the damage has been done.0 -

The big problem would be that any serious further integration would be stalled or at best very difficult to get through. The macron-esque vision for Europe would be dead in the water.0 -
It not clear why that’s a bad thing and neither do I understand why that would be the case.
We are one country out of 28.0 -

I mean less supportive but I believe there is a push for more majority voting and reduced use of veto and there is no guarantee that won't happen. If we remain in with parliament as is I would not be surprised if they caved into pressure to reduce use of veto.
As I've already said parliament should not have voted for referendum especially when you consider how bad they think leaving will be for country but they did and as you say the damage has been done.0
