There's a fair number of bands and artists who have resorted to streaming live performances for free already.50Twuncle said:Thrugelmir said:50Twuncle said:

The EU, or least the states that wish to participate. Will need to decide whether they all in to the project or not. Sad state of affairs that it's taken a pandemic to draw attention to the known flaws. Going to take many years to recover from events now.Herzlos said:
So basically all the stuff you wanted and needed to leave the EU for turns out to be stuff we didn't need to leave the EU for?Moe_The_Bartender said:Let's take a look at the EU today.
Schengen effectively suspended.
Stability Pact suspended
State aid rules suspended.
Free movement suspended.
No EU budget agreement.
We should be delighted to be out of this omnishambles but the usual suspects are still trying to tell us how great the EU is.
I've got a hunch that the noone else is going to be leaving the EU over this - we need cooperation more than ever at the moment.
You're just starting to realise that the National Governments were sovereign all along?
You're going to have to walk me through that one, sorry. The EU has provided huge practical benefits to all members over the decades it's been running, it just isn't the dictatorship that Farage has been telling you it is.
There are currently more pressing problems in the country,.....
The lockdown is going to be taxing on everyone. It certainly is - how about a sing song ?I'll start ... La La La La La La La La La La La La .................... ...... Bamba !Serioiusly I am fed up with all of the bad newsWhat we need is a "Vera Lynn" or a "Glen Miller" to raise the morale of the countryAny offers ?0 -

Another session. Around 12 bands had a fifteen minute slot each. Mixture of bluesy rock to full out rock. Good to dip in and out of. As a fair number I've never heard of.0 -

I fail to see how you can make that huge leap. That misunderstanding does explain a bit.Thrugelmir said:

It has taken the Commission over a month to get bids in for PPE bits and now - at some time soon, no doubt - some pen-pusher somewhere in that lofty organisation will decide what to buy and from whom when even the commission itself says that it will take two weeks to receive supplies from when the contracts are signed.
"Newsflash* - your countries need this stuff now!
Meantime Germany made 6 million FFPE2 face masks for the German customs authorities - and they've gone missing in Kenya.
Nobody knows why they were in Kenya but hey ...............
Here in Britain ongoing and increased PPE orders have been made and stocks are being delivered by the Army because without that help deliveries weren't being made quickly enough.2 -
Damaged my eardrums years ago. The Who pumping out 250,000 watts at the old Charlton Atheltic ground was one of the highlights. Now it's Vera Lynn......._mayonnaise_ said:Thrugelmir said:Couple I've tuned into have been acoustic. As not been able to fit the band into the room.

What cooperation is that? You've got a return of mistrust, border controls and nation first approaches. When Italy is getting more help from China than it is from its EU partners, it says a lot and the Italians won’t forget in a hurry.phillw said:
