Saturday smkt spending today (L1d1 and Sainz) inc some bits for my mum's bday. OH is also spending tonight - out with old work colleagues.

Today I am thankful for dry (if grey) weather - 3 loads of washing (bar 1 cardigan (?!) dry), OH mowing rear lawn, for getting some things done, for a super-scrummy HM loaf.

Plans for when smalls are in bed/ OH still out = Casualty and catch up Criminal Minds and tackling some of the ironing heap!! :D

You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have.

There is a lot in life that we cannot change. The best way to find peace and confidence inyourself is to not let your outer world affect your inner world so much. :D

    Morning all.

Went out for the day yesterday with DH, DD and the dog. I took a sandwich for lunch but DD and DH bought a burrito, paid for car parking, and ice cream for DD and quite a lot of things from the charity shops.

Today I need to top up our fruit and veg supplies, get some food for DD's D of E, buy butter for the dreaded, dratted food tech that I thought I had finished with forever:mad:, cycle, dog walk and relax a bit too.

Toni'sFriend - I've read a few wartime books and also The Road by Cormack McCarthy which makes you realise what is really important if everything breaks down. I changed the way I consume quite a few years ago now and will never go back, I just wish I did it years and years ago.

    Morning!
    Lovely Sunny day today.

Well, I think we should draw a discreet veil over the Eurovision result........ nah! Iceland were robbed, the UK is now officially Millwall, and Madonna was ill advised to show such a large tv audience she cannot carry a tune in a bucket. Was a spectacle though.
DH has bought me a coffee machine for my birthday (a month early) so I have embraced the ground coffee, and am rid of plastic pods FOREVER !! I even have a frothy milk nozzle (although a gentleman probably would not mention it).
Diet gone to Hull in a wheelbarrow. I ate ALL the pies. Will get back on it on Monday.

Funny mood today - bit 'spring fever' bit 'impending doom' bit 's0d it all'. One week til half term. Just have to get through the next 5 days.

If you're looking for a good ground coffee that doesn't cost a fortune I'd recommend Aldi No 5 French coffee for your machine.

    NSD No 10

I've had a really quiet day today watching favourite old films with Himself and I'm feeling much more relaxed. Less than two weeks till our holiday and lots to do but I'm not stressing.

The Boy is on his way back from London. He had a fabulous time. Just sent me a message asking if it was OK to come for dinner. Like he's got to ask!!!

Himself has agreed that I really need to get out a bit more so we're going for lunch this week - either Wednesday or Thursday. I've found a voucher for a second meal for £1.00 when buying a main course and I have a gift voucher for the restaurant that I got as a Christmas present so it'll be a no spend treat.

Hope you've all had a good weekend.
