Still no car  apparently “with a following wind” I might get it back Monday but it’s more likely to be Tuesday. At least the part has arrived at the garage so I should be grateful. Didn’t even open my book on the bus, was too busy listening in to overheard bus conversations, fascinating! Thursday was a write off. After rushing about to get my son to beavers a friend dropped him off at 7:30. I got him into bed and then went to lie down on mine for a while as I had a really bad headache and then woke up at 4:45am! Last night wasn’t much better as dozed off during Gardeners World so will have to watch it again on catch up.
I had to cancel everything I had planned for the weekend but the boy has a party this morning which is in walking distance so he can still go to that, I’ll have to do some work this weekend and I’ve got job applications to work on. I did have a chat with an old work colleague and she thinks I’m doing the right thing, she also said she would be a referee if I need her too, she’s a manager although not my line manager.
Want to get some gardening done today too, that always makes me feel better. One of my geums is looking a bit ill but the others are really looking good. Maybe it’s the place it’s planted but not sure if I dig it up and move it whether I will damaged it more. It’s was from the sick plant section about two years ago and did well last year; there are a couple of flowers but the leaves are curling. Well obviously the wind wasn’t blowing in my direction! Rang the garage while I was on the bus home to be told everything was going ok but.....when they took the drive shaft off a bit on the end broke so they have ordered a new part which they will get in the morning. Picking it up Tuesday night and no doubt receiving a large bill.
Oh well at least I’ll be able to get shopping again on Wednesday as I’ve just been picking up bits at an expensive well known supermarket. Add in the bus fares and I’ll be very skint come pay day. The bus costs £4:40 a day but if I’d known I’d be on the bus so long I could have bought a weekly ticket and saved a bit of money.
Applied for a job last night. Submitted it at 11:45pm because they brought the submission date forward! Car back!
. Was told it would feel and act differently to previous clutch because it was new so first thing I did driving out of the garage was stall it. Also needed a new drive shaft so barely any change from £500. Closing date for that job was yesterday, shortlisted for interview today!! Have to go online and book a slot. Have two more I’m going to apply for too.

Had a one to be meeting with my interim/seconded manager today and she made me feel better about myself. She’s only with the department until the end of June covering for illness and then she’s going back to her normal department. She is the only one who makes me feel supported so it will be tough when she’s not there anymore. She said that she’s been impressed by the way I proactively go out looking for solutions and that she would employ me which was such a nice thing to say. I’ve booked the 4th off as holiday and told her I wanted a day off to spend some me time, didn’t mention the interview but I did say I didn’t think I would be there for long.
Been reviewing the jobs I’d saved and discounted one of them mainly because it’s less hours and working one Saturday in four which would be difficult with childcare. The other one I really like is a bit more marketing than I’ve got experience for but I’ll give it a go and they also have a page we’re you can upload a cv for consideration in the future so if nothing comes of this I might do that.
Very tired tonight but have been a bit like Maggie Thatcher of late, existing on about four hours sleep. I have some strawberries in the fridge so off for a snack and to watch Chelsea flower show on catch up then try and get some zzzzzzzzzz :wave:SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1 -
