Im not sure why everyone is pointing you in the direction of your antivirus/firewall..
If your PC is running slow its normally down to several issues relating to amount of hard drive space used and low memory (RAM)..
Have you looked to see how much hard drive space you have left... have you defragged your hard drive???
Go to my computer on your desk top and double click... on the C drive right click and go down to properties... you will now see what space is left on your HDD... if its low I would suggest a defrag and then try saving some important info to CD or DVD if you can...
Im always happy to help and would never suggest looking at antivirus first..0 -
Since adding the antivirus it seems to be working a lot faster now.... although shall do what you suggested and reply when i've got the info.0

It was suggested as her Norton software was out of date.0 -
Yes i noted that but having out of date norton is not the only cause of a slow PC..
Defrag of HDD is important as is not saving to much data to your HDD.0
