I've done a Norton scan and it says that my Antivirus is not up-to-date, can anyone recommend one?0

Download AVG free but don't install it yet. First get rid of Norton-I think there's a remove norton prog. on the norton/symantec site. Then install avg.0

Bit confused.... what links do i use albertross? Do i need to delete the Norton security scan first?0

Right, i can uninstall the Norton via the program which it came with.
What should my next step be? What do i need to download from the links provided?
Sorry for all the questions x0 -
Do you have a router, or a modem? Are you using norton firewall currently? If you have a modem, and are using norton firewall, you need to make sure a firewall is on when on the net. (not sure if the norton uninstall switches the xp firewall back on automatically)
I'd scan with all of them to see if they find anything before uninstalling norton. Then you need to leave a resident AV and antispyware scanner installed (e.g avast and superantispyware), and also make sure a firewall is installed (The XP one will do).Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
The firewalls are installed, all that it said i needed is a antivirus.0

Should i download the avast?0
