For those who have the bonus, how soon after the switch completed did you get the cash?

    Mine was 6 days.

Much faster than expected then? I started a switch on 7th and completed on 14th and nothing here yet. I am hoping that since I started the switch before 10th June I will get £125.

Yes, it was really fast, and when I rang and queried only receiving £100 instead of £125, they immediately credited me the difference.

Can anyone confirm if they have had the First Direct switch bonus paid more than once. I have two Tesco accounts. Moved one to get a new bonus but would like to get a bonus by moving the other.

Had the FD bonus back in 2009 or so.

Yes I know it says you can’t get it if you had it before but do they closely check even after ten years?

I got it again earlier this year. First time around was 8-10 years ago when I also took the leaving present. If you've previously been a customer you can't apply online. I rang them to apply and the CSA offered it me if I switched. I told them I'd had it before but a long time ago. They said it wouldn't matter and if it wasn't paid automatically I should ring. I rang them week or so after the switch completed and they paid it within 24 hours.
  • Hi Yorkshireboy

I’m struggling g to find the full terms of the FD switch offer. Do you need to move a certain amount of Direct Debits.

The advert says open an account and switch. Pay in £1,000. Nothing about DDS.

I may well stay this time with FD and have the regular saver too.

They don't have formal T&Cs as such, just the 3 or 4 paragraphs of general text you see on their website. No DDs or SOs required.
  • Ok good. What’s the interest if you pay in the £300 per month on their regular saver?

Still waiting for my £125 17 days after the switch completed. I messaged them and asked when I would get the money last week. They messaged back to confirm that I had qualified for £125, but said that they credit the money in 14 day cycles, so I must have just missed out on the last one, but then said I would get the money within another 28 days which kind of contradicts that!
