My BG fix is coming to an end later this month and Hub Energy is cheapest by £50 in Scotland. "HUB Smart Choice Tariff 12 March 22 v3" is the tariff. Tempted but wary of moving to a small unknown (to me anyway) company, anyone else in a similar situation? What the thoughts currently of those that are with Hub (Ex Gulf) or anyone that has switched to them in the past couple of weeks?0

I've just left them receiving the final bill four days later. They were fine all the way through a year, reducing the DD twice as I was overpaying, so they didn't allow me to build up a huge credit. I leave only because the new tariff is more than I can get elsewhere. I now owe them a little and expect them to take it within ten days.1

Same position here. Would have stayed if they had offered anything competitive when my tariff ended but unfortunately not !!t0rt0ise said:I've just left them receiving the final bill four days later. Just moved from Gulf aka Hub and it took them 7 days for my final bill. So quick really and I left them with a very small credit to be repaid. The bill was as expected so I'm happy.
No real complaints over the year I was with them. Customer service worked well when I needed it. Left due to Zog being cheaper when I needed a new tariff this year.
A year ago I moved from Zog to Gulf due to cost so funny it is now the reverse.0 -
Curious that they've deleted my account two days before switching away day. But on a positive note, they have re-issued this month's bill using the expired fixed tariff, replacing the one where they'd used standard rate for the days after the fix expired.
I think the final bill will leave a small credit to be repaid, as my estimate of usage was spot on and they left the direct debit alone all year.0 -
Switched away on 12th March, final bill received 16th March, credit repaid into bank on 26th March. I was very happy with them for 13 months and would definitely recommend them (under their new HUB identity). I'd return without hesitation if the price was right.

Does Hub insist on a smart meter?0
