Quote - Looks like someone has taken a liking to the title of my diary so may start a new one.
Sorry about that Sunshine Girl, I didn't see yours before I posted. I'm happy to change mine if that's possible.
Glad to hear your mum is out of hospital and hope she continues to recover
No worries , I will be starting a new one soon to reflect a new stage in my life.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
I have read a few diaries who have mentioned George Clark's programme and feel I must speak up for social housing.
The housing that he was looking at was all temporary accommodation which was quite horrendous. A lot of these people are there due to being unable to pay private sector rents , unscrupulous landlords or being evicted for whatever reason. The reason they are there is because the government hasn't built enough social housing to keep up with demand.
Social housing actually gives people secure tenancies so makes them more stable , they will only lose their property if they don't adhere to their tenancy agreement .
I myself am moving to housing association property and am so glad, it makes me secure for the next while until I inherit a house or not . I have owned a house in a previous life and through circumstances had to move to the private rented sector, so now making my next move to social housing. If you keep to your tenancy agreement, you will have a home for life , once you eventually if ever get one .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
Who would have thought you could have so much stuff. Packing again today, trip to charity shop and tip done. More to be done over the weekend, moving is keeping me ever so busy.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

I grew up in social housing - there is no way circumstances would have allowed my parents to buy. There should be access to social housing where folk have room enough to live properly for an affordable price and in turn they should have to respect the property and area.
Hope your Mum and Dad are both doing ok. Is your new place any closer to them.
I’ll look forward to your new diary.January spends - £587.581 -
My new place is a 10 min drive away but nearer to work, it is on a bus route they can access if they wish to visit.
I am completely shattered with the packing, visits to the other flat to clean up after the decorator. Have to keep the end goal in sight. I have done the cupboard of doom this evening, it wasn't so bad but I did get sidetracked looking at old photos and things the children had made and cards they have sent over the years.
The lounge in my new flat is looking lovely with my choice of paper on it . It's been 10 years since I have been able to decorate to my taste.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
