    Enjoy the dance :)
Thanks beanie. It was fabulous :)
Another fan of premium bods , buy some every month.

Your to do list is a good one .

Enjoy your dance production with your friend.

The squirrel is actually two .
Thanks SSG2 :) Yes, I'm pleased about the PBs. Oh no to the squirrels! They start to look for nests for their young at this time of year so you have to get it sorted before they have little ones. Good luck.
Very positive jobs list! It's good that you've now got free time to do these rather than trying to fit them round work and stressing when you're too tired start! (like me!):)
Thanks SSG58 :) Yes, I am free until mid October and determined to use the time wisely

  • The dance production was amazing and despite the expense I do not regret it. I am happy to spend what I have on life enhancing experiences. I just don’t want to waste my money on things that I get no value/enjoyment from. My friends bought a few glasses of wine but I had my water and nuts to snack on. :money: I had no desire for alcohol anyway. Better still I met another friend at the dance production and got a lift home, saving my train fare :money:

I will be making a curry today, making a salad for the fridge and prepping some kale.

Today will be a NSD so lots of cleaning/organising and some gardening. Lots of free activities for me today. :money:

I had a lovely catch-up call this morning but I’m happy to see absolutely no one today and have a quiet day to myself.

I have an important work deadline tomorrow. I have the whole of tomorrow to do it, but I will make a start today as it will be less stressful if I make a start.

I think I will start with dirty dishes…

    Have a good day everyone

Today my focus will be the garden as it is very cloudy so the ideal conditions for me.

I am STILL battling cleaning and house mess, as I did not get on top of it before my hols. Will keep up with that today too.

I have a yoga poster that I will be going to see if I can get laminated as it would be nice to start my day with yoga but I don't want a screen guiding me.

I have an item due to take back to the shops for a refund.

I will offload goods to the CS.

Oh, and the feet of the day bed need locating and putting back on the sofa. I think I can do this myself so going to have a go...

All that is enough to keep me active and productive today.

Wishing you all a good day

Glad the dance was fun. We are trying to go more for experiences than things too. Makes life feel so much better. Good luck with your diy list

  • Glad you had good time at the dance DIA .
My attitude to certain occasions in my case going to concerts , is that I know it will cost but you have to let your hair down and have fun.
It's not all the time and life is for living etc .

Hope the yoga works out for you . I was seeing a personal trainer back when times were good ( but wages still crap) , and she was giving me yoga and Pilates combined . I miss those days . ( pre 2007)

You have a daybed . I was thinking of maybe replacing my settees for one . I spend most of the time lying across the settee when relaxing , which has seen better days .
Anyway, have a good week ..
  • Glad you enjoyed the concert.

I hope you mange to get your gardening done today and get the house sorted. I think with housework it's easier to keep on top of it if you do a little bit every day. I fill the dishwasher and do dishes while the kettle is boiling, and have a quick tidy around before I go to bed. Also every time I go upstairs I try and take something with me that belongs upstairs.

Great attitude AC :) and re the daybed I have it in the room with one sofa. I put the other sofa in a different room and it has worked well.
    Glad you enjoyed the concert.

Yes HHOD. Thanks :) That is a good approach. My life would be easier with a dishwasher as I scratch cook I create lots of dishes! I don't have a microwave (through choice) but that also creates more dishes to heat food. In the meantime I should wash up after each meal but don't!

  • Yesterday I gardened all morning. I removed 46 fallen apples from the apple tree next door! I did pots and weeded but I decided I will call the gardeners in too. They can do in 2 hours what I can do in 4 days so it makes sense to me. They are not expensive and the gardens being done helps me feel in control. I use them once a year when everything gets beyond control but I will begin to use them 3 times a year from now on to avoid getting to that stage in the first place.

I cleaned all the ground floor front windows :T

I called the gardeners and also the odd job man so I can get door handles put on and the lighting outside needs replacing too. I know I will feel safer if I can have outdoor lighting. I have not had this for years. I also have things on the floor that need hanging on the walls.

I found three feet for the daybed. Three!! The search continues.

Today I have to go to the Post Office. I also have to do the CS run (not done yesterday)

I have a beautiful batik that has needed hanging for years. The plan is to buy a canvas and a staple gun so I can mount it myself.

My grocery shopping is out of control again  I have begun logging each time I spend and it doesn’t look good. There is no alcohol, very little chocolate, no processed food or even crisps but I am still over budget. I always shop in Ald1 or Lid1 too. The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result so after years of struggle I am increasing the budget and I will start using cash.

Wishing you all a lovely day :)
