So, back from my hols. My first in 4 years!
From an MSE POV it was expensive. My medication and injections alone cost a small fortune! I stuck to one meal a day whilst there partly due to the excessive heat killing my appetite and not being overfond of the food on offer. There wasn’t much in the way of veggie food and I did not trust eating meat or fish. So, saved money there. :money: I also did not buy any tat.:money: I think very carefully about what I need now and there was nothing. I am at peak stuff! I bought some jars of local, organic honey that was amazing and will gift some.
The holiday has been fully financed but the remainder of the month will be very, very, tight but that is okay. Loads to do that does not require money.
Before I left the expensive bag was returned (it was nice but not worth the price) I found another by the same designer in the sale. It cost 40% of the one that went back .:money: It is really lovely. I have downsized my water bottle too. A new company making 0.4 size stainless steel bottles.
I am doing another declutter as I wander from room to room. Doing lots of sorting and organising at my own pace.
I thought I would feel anxious being back knowing I have a new path to take but so far just relieved.
I used to work on Saturdays so looking forward to having them back. I can stop being jealous of HairyHand and her Saturday Saunters
Not planning to start the real work until my creative retreat in October. I always work well in the Highlands and the plan is to continue when I come back, so for the next few weeks I am putting everything in place and getting at home jobs done. I also have some applications for funding to do.
I am glad to be back and I am ready for this next stage. I hope everyone is okayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Glad you had a great holiday DIA
Sounds like you are doing things the way you want , and know exactly what way you want them . Leaving the energy sapping job behind (and of course your welcome break), will probably make things easier for you from now on . Of course there are 1 or 2 hurdles to cross still, but you will probably find things easier to deal with , with less tension or energy sapping . Keep going ..0 -
