I love the dog walking emoticon, the snorkeling one and the giraffe one. I can't tell you how much they cheer up me every time I see them, so thank you Shaggy and CathyBird for keeping us going.

Aw :) To be honest Honey Bear, though I didn't plan it that way the dog walking emoticon makes me think of Layla! :)

That's so true. Getting into the zone can be quite eazy sometimes - hard others - whether it's drinking, dieting, exercising or whatever...mysterious...
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

And last night as my 2 in a row no alcohol days proved I didn’t have as many flushes in the night as before :)
Anyone of my age found this as well ?

Alcohol and caffeine both linked to hot flashes.....I became sensitive to both for awhile...now I've completely quit caffeine....slowly weaned myself off it...however, now I'm 57 I seem perfectly fine but I'm not going back to caffeine now I've quit....had slight hot flashes around 54 both alcohol and caffeine were triggers for a short while.

However, I actually had my "menopause" at the very young age of 42! Still got a few symptoms in my 50s though. Nothing like everyone else though. I have been lucky - I'm surrounded by women drowing in sweat. :rotfl:I see them drinking and I'm thinking that's not going to help :D I have a friend who was standing near an open window in the middle of winter whilst swigging two bottles of wine...I didn't like to say - it's the wine lovely...:rotfl:

EDIT: Just before Xmas everyone was talking about the BBC prog "the truth about the menopause" - I think it's still available. I'll have a check later.

I need to join you on the weightloss thing Shaggy. It's not going well here. I'm back at 67.4kgs. 5/30 please.

I'm going to try and lose a stone in a year. A couple of pounds a month. Last couple of days I haven't been too bad with the eating and I got a 2 hour walk in this morning. It's so hard to shift though....

Just watched it. It's quite interesting (but HRT would not be for me.....)

I'm on 3/18 today... went to the gym after work and it seems like I'm wasting the effort if I drink afterwards! I'll go again tomorrow, trying to get my running back on track as I've signed up for a 10k in December.

I do have a boozy weekend lined up but am trying to either run or go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week so that will help towards the target!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
