    Hi all you lovely lot,

I’m back on the bandwagon, having got over my disappointment from scrimping for a whole month and having unexpected bills take it faster than I could save. Thanks for the support when I needed it, you guys are awesome.

I’ve started using the 30 degree quick wash cycle for washing
All the smalls go on the line or a radiator airer instead of tumble drier
I’m starting to try to meal plan for less food waste
    Doing my cross stitch
Plan on using up my craft stash to make gifts for birthdays etc

All starting to look positive again

Morning all :hello: sounding very positive there JEdwards

Last night I spent most of it labelling clothes for an upcoming sale. Will be lots out of the house and some money coming in if they sell :T will do some more tonight and a big box of toys too. I've also a charity shop bag and a bag for a friend on the go at the same time too.

    Today's list:
Go and collect some gifted coat hangers to make it easier to sell some of the items
    Some washing, will peg outside
    Hot drink for commute
Portion of chickpea and kale (in lieu of spinach as it's what I had in) curry for lunch
Defrosted roasted homegrown tomatoes for tonight's pasta dish
Another glass bottle finished and washed to go in my spice cupboard
    Check banking
Check to see if number has swapped, I messaged them yesterday and they said they're having issues [insert eye roll] as that's why I messaged them ;)
Use shampoo bar when washing my hair

Have a good day folks. Purps.

    Hi guys

First week of mat leave.

Mainly tidying round today... On a mission to get through ALL the laundry before baby arrives. Will hang outside for a bit, although I'm not 100% sure it's good drying weather...

Have another antenatal appt. :( They're a major stress at the minute but I'll spare you the details. :(

OH is WFH this afternoon so lunch from stores.

Getting slow cooker out later - chicken drumsticks and something...

    Need to check banking/sort YNAB.

Right, I'm offskis - catch up soon!

    Morning all :)
OH is away helping out friends for a few days, and I shan't mind the peace and quiet, lack of need to constantly be cooking etc :rotfl:I didn't go because our respective dogs don't get on very well, and I don't need that stress in my life atm!

Meeting up with both DDs together today, which doesn't happen very often as they live a distance apart. We will probably go our for lunch or afternoon tea, not MSE but should be fun :)Went for lunch, then back to DD2s, where the children played. Sadly it was a horrible rainy day so we didn't get much of a walk.
    Apart from that:
Washed hair and left to dry naturally
    HG cooked fruit with breakfast
    Load of washing Not done
Bake banana bread as I seem to have a couple of elderly bananas in the fruit bowl Not done
Figure out a way of protecting the young broad bean plants I want to put out from marauding birds - we have so many jackdaws and they are a menace! Too wet for gardening today
Ditto with peas / sweet peas!
Continue with clearing / cleaning conservatory Not done
Water seedlings if necessary No need today, though I did check them.
Take another old galvanised bucket to sales unit - found one lurking in the garage yesterday and they are selling well at the moment (people drill holes and use them for garden planters :)) Done
Walk dog later Done, it stopped raining for long enough for a short walk (the dog has a problem with rain, rather than me!)
Sort larder out... Done, good tidy, partly empty packets into respective storage jars / tubs, swept floor, found a tub of Andrews liver salts dated use by 2006 - it was already 2 years out of date when it moved here with us :rotfl:Prised off lid, and it had gone all brown and sticky  Now binned - won't be replacing as it never got used anyway!
Ordered more of the blackboard labels that I use for my storage jars etc, plus a new chalk pen as mine has dried up.

This list is getting very long, and I suspect some items will be appearing again tomorrow! Hoping for a dry day tomorrow!

Are they in a raised bed? You can put canes around the edges, them criss-cross cotton back and forward across it to stop them diving in.

Alternatively maybe hanging up cds or baubles to scare them off?
