Good advice Honey Bear, and timely. Thank you xx I settled for three loads of washing drying on the line and picked up a book. The chippy lunch lay like lead in my stomach, so I gave food a miss for the rest of the day.
I seem to have spent the entire night walking railway tracks and dodging trains whilst looking for the geography teacher I had a crush on in the 1970s. No wonder I wake up tired!
I set the WM swishing while the kettle was boiling for my cuppa tea. I'm not going to attempt to rebuild Rome today but I will WUDUPA some pots at least as it will make next week easier.
Coffee with DS's dad at 11.30; lunch with Dad at 12.30; GP highlights at 3. Intermittent pot washing and book reading. That's today
Only 4 days at work - then I have 10 days off. I am SO GLAD I booked that time off :T Just 1800 minutes at work between me and aaaahhhhhhhhh :j
Sending love to you all - including LW, YL and ATB :heart2: xx

My must list is done, I've hoovered and swept through and watered indoor plants. Can't cut the grass as it's rained. For the same reason washing is now on airer.
Going to tackle the curtains now.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
WM x2 now draped on airer and radiators. Doesn't forecast rain here, but it's very overcast so I'm not risking it!
WULTD one bowl of pots and reloaded bowl - so kitchen looks tidier and we have clean cutlery. plates, dishes to be going on with.
New toothpaste and soap on the stairs to be taken up the next time I go up - I keep forgetting. At least that means every last iota of toothpaste was rolled, folded and squeezed out of the last tube :money:
Going to rejoin Jack Higgins in East Germany until DS's dad arrives for coffee.

Very exciting, new to you car, Valli. I hope you get some £££s for the old one, too.
Sorry to hear about the running around on your birthday Narco, but it sounds as though your MiL really does need more care than you and Mr N could realistically provide so I hope she doesn't mind being in the care home for a couple of weeks.
I'm so glad you're enjoying your weekend Round, and that you have some time off over Easter to look forward to.
I have eaten a Frog that's been hanging over me for months, and even having found the solution I've been postponing for 10 days. It took five minutes. Ka-loo Ka-lay!!
I've also made a mistake booking an overnight stay in London by booking the Sunday night instead of Saturday, and 'Oh What a Shame!' it's a booking that can't be changed. OH is now deputed to dogsit for 48 hours instead of 24 and I've got a whole extra day on the Monday, so that'll be at the V&A now that the jewellery collection has re-opened, as well as the brunch I need to go to on the Sunday. Train tickets booked as well, so all sorted and a mini-break to look forward to. Hurrah! As my laptop is rather large and heavy OH is buying me a tablet for my upcoming birthday to take with me too - his suggestion. How cool is that?
Office looks much tidier, now all I've got to do is clear the paperwork I haven't been doing for the past week, change the lodger's bed and do the shower room. That's enough for one day.Better is good enough.0 -
Just back from a couple of hours hard weeding at the allotment. It’s only the thought of exercise for Slinky that shifts me, so that plan had better start showing results. I could have stayed longer but the stomach rumbling was deafening me! Plus the garden needs some tlc so that’s on the list for this afternoon.
I’ve just put some beef in the sc so that’s part of dinner sorted. I’ll figure out the rest later.
How exciting, HB - a weekend away to do something that you want. Bliss.0 -
HB sounds like a good time and plan you have for your trip.
Been to volunteering training now moved up a level!I can have keys now to certain buildings!
Daily stuff done
New smart bit workingwellI'm well chuffed for the price I paid.
Off in a bit with OH to pick up a new to me bike, a bargin at £10, a bit rusty so I have been told, but I am sure I can deal with that or just ignore it ...............watch out.....
I am now going to do cycling around the local cycle path during that day once I have got use to cycling again on the paths, rather than a bike in the gym that goes no where.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

some toerag has totalled DDs car. There appears to have been a witness in the form of a PC who *may* have been chasing/following. She lives on a quiet one-way street not long enough to speed along. Valli so sorry about DD’s car. It is so upsetting. Happened here about 3 years ago. Congratulations on you new motor. Hope you manage to sell old one x
Honey Bear Exciting times enjoy your mini break. Glad little dog is doing so well x
I actually went out last night to a show. My aunt had some tickets for Christmas and asked moi.
DH has washed my car and cut the front lawn. I have been to Mr Ms and am doing financial stuff which has been neglected.

another aunt rang, she went to see my Dad and said he was completely gaga. He told her that the upstairs of the building had a leak and his ward was flooded up to his neck and the nurses had to rope the beds together. My son and nephew apparently save him.
How can he be sent home like this? He will probably burn the house down.0 -
might have to get it fixed for DD to use for a few weeks!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
