Rain, rain, rain all day apart from when it drizzled. So the window cleaner came. The windows actually do look cleaner which is a result. Something in the house is clean and I didn’t lift a finger!
So today I have done a couple of loads of washing, given the dw a deep clean, cleared the tiny ironing pile as that was a good excuse not to clean bathrooms, decided then that downstairs loo and en-suite cleaning really ought to happen. Gave both rooms a good clean (managing to avoid actually doing the main bathroom), then spent the rest of the day baking. If I ever mention entering Bake Off, can someone give me a good slap please. 6 cakes, all decorated, and a zillion loads of washing up later and I am done. Dinner cooked, kitchen restored to relative clean, lasagne prepped for tomorrow.
I think that has been my day.
  • Fayolle : you don't do the washing up on bake off you know.

    Ionafan that's one huge list.
    Went to gym.
Spent a couple of hours cleaning MILs flat with Mr N, who'd arrived at the same time as the hospital bed. Needless to say, they said they had rung but had wrong number.
Dropped in to order Easter lilies for church to find a note on the florist saying closed till 24th. Had quick lunch, did oneloadof washing. Tried ringing hospital who denied all knowledge of a discharge nurse. Tried ward but no reply. Decided best to go to hospital even if we crossed path with MIL on her way home. Dropped in to another florist - early closing day!

SW rang during the journey, said MIL had the runs so would be kept in another day. She wasn't best pleased! I sat in the hospital lounge working on the laptop till a bereaved family had more need of the room than me.

Home to cook dinner and prepared a beef casserole to put in slow cooker tomorrow.
    Watered greenhouse.
Evening watching Vera and now more work to do.

I'm still here, not a huge amount of flying being done, DD2 is now home too so I'm happy to have them both here but feel I will never get to the end of the washing! Had just got DD1s done when DD2 came home with suitcase bulging! So it's still mainly wasing and ironing here, although main living areas are fairly straight although everywhere needs a good clean. Nothing in the diary for today or tomorrow so you never know.

    Hugs to all

Hi Quillion  Great to see you!

I don't do long lists like that every day, and I do take days off, but I need to catch up on all the jobs I didn't do in the fortnight after my fall, and my diary for this week is bulging , so it's a case of needs must.

Got though most of my list yesterday, had a lovely meal out and catch-up with my friends, and was in bed by 11.00 (which is early for me). Unfortunately Rosie decided to wake me up at 03.15 , wanting to be let out, so I spent the rest of the night sleeping on the sofa rather than have to climb upstairs again. More busy days today and tomorrow, then Friday should be more relaxing!

Glad you found the bowl you wanted, HB. I don't think Wilk* do yellow!

(((Hugs))) to Narc0 and Mr N, SSDD23, and all coping with extra washing as a downside of having the kids home for a while.

Hope everyone has a dry, sunny and productive day xx
  • Feeling a bit better today!

Gave the bathroom a wipe over and chucked some lime scale remover down the loo, washed up multiple times, cleaned down the kitchen, did our meter readings, and emptied our recycling box into the big bin in the garden. It would have been perfect if not for the boiler conking out again and the water when I ran my bath turning cold whilst I ran it, so no bath :o

    This morning:
Soaked a grill pan ready for OH to scrub before he leaves for work, as he is the one that left it dirty in the grill causing it to burn all of the stuff onto it when I heated the grill up last night to cook.
Put a load of washing in on a delay timer so it will be ready to put out when we get home from work

    Tonight:
Scrub around drain in shower, buildup of soapy products there this week :o
    Wipe over kitchen and bathroom
Iron washing that is in if it dries in time this evening
Empty bins and put them outside ready for tomorrow morning

Hope you all have a lovely day x

Boiler broken. Just dashing out to volunteer for the rest of the day so not back until later.
At last the sun is shining here. Have a lovely day all.
(Hugs) Narc0. I hope today is a better day
