    Morning all :hello:

This house looks like a mini-tornado hit :( That would be me in meltdown mode. The fact that I can now see the mess  would indicate that I'm returning to [STRIKE]what passes for[/STRIKE] sanity. I do hope so. One day at a time.....

 to all invisible friends too (aka lurkers who delurk in times of need :D)

I'm going to put this out there in case it helps someone reading who's struggling: my Level one everyday is: get washed, brush teeth, comb hair, get dressed- might be yesterday's clothes but clean knickers every day. Got this far - you're doing great!

So the fact that I've made my bed is a bonus. And opened the curtains. Not windows as the house will be empty all day.

I'm going to change Sweetie's seed and water, and feed the birds. Rubbish and recycling out next - so the house will look marginally better when I step in tonight.

Hope you all have a peaceful day.

    Rxx

    Well done Round :T:T:T

(((Hugs))) to Narc0, Lame Wolf, Jojo and everyone else in need. Glad you've got Bluebell to talk to, LW - a trouble shared is a trouble lessened.

Honey Bear, Wilko do a square washing up bowl which is slightly smaller than most.

    Yesterday I
    - tidied round, filled the hole in the back bedroom ceiling where a small circle of plaster fell off when the man was cleaning the roof, started WMx1 of 2, and remembered to start a sausage casserole for lunch in the SC, all before I went out
    - arrived late at the meeting in Cathedral City because I stupidly took the wrong exit off the motorway and had to do a 5-mile detour which meant that I had to stop to re-fuel on my way there, rather than on my way home  with myself
    - coming home, traipsed round various garden centres en route to try and find a proper stainless steel widger for transplanting seedlings, then ended up ordering one online - but I did manage to get some card from Hubby Craft (DH's favourite shop after the wargames) and treated myself to a mini whisk for sauces from Like Land (which I realised I have wanted for ages ;))
    - filed an enormous heap of papers while hunting for a certain list of names: found it at the very bottom of the pile, so that meant i was able to finish off yet another admin job :)
    - managed to sort out online bank login problems and a savings account switch with just one phonecall :D - but have another similar call to make this morning. Rather fed up with login problems (caused by the fact that I try not to touch my savings from one year to the next) :( but it's a nice problem to have, IYSWIM :)
    - took Rosie for a walk
    - went to the Old Wives meeting in the evening, a bit earlier than usual, as we went to play skittles at the place where I had my family party last November; took DH with me to help eat up the food as we had booked for 15 but only 10 of us regulars could be there plus 2 guests, and the pub landlady is a generous soul (leek and potato soup and salad rolls, so quite healthy, and DH enjoyed a real treat of a pint of Plum Pig on the Wall porter-style, which I would also have chosen if I had not been driving) :D As the only man present, DH won the gentlemen's competition :rotfl: but also got the highest score of the night. One of the ladies who normally complains about everything won the ladies' competition, and everyone else was happy too. No trophies to present, but everyone who wanted to take a leftover roll home got one :D A very good evening was had - and all for £5 a head plus drinks :money:

Today DH is off to SW  and I must
    - rub down and paint the patch on the ceiling
    - re-attach the inlet pipe for the water butts in the front garden, which I removed before the roof man came - it's rained enough since not to worry about nasty stuff getting into my watering can
    - order some things for church
    - send out the reminder about Toddler Group this week
    - nag DH to sort the car insurance
    - do some more paperwork (where does it all come from???)
    - take Rosie for an early walk
    - be ready for a lift at 5.15 to Cathedral City for another meal out this evening, this time with my fellow-students. Why does all my social life happen in the same week?

Hope everyone has a good and productive day, with time also to relax xx

Just got out of bed, showered and dressed. No sore throat but a mighty good book! No school or work to get up for so obviously I was zing awake at 5.30am.
I’m going to do a few small jobs with another cuppa then it is downstairs toilet and en-suite cleaning, followed by a baking session.
Ionafan - I need to sit down to cope with reading what you pack in the day. I am in total awe.

    Been on a school trip - Cadbury's.

    Shattered.

... and now a sore throat. *Healing vibes* I thought for a moment that as it was Cadbury's you might have had a lovely time but obviously not. I'm listening to You and Yours and the phone-in is about stress today. Apparently being a teacher is one of the most stressful jobs, up there with social work.

Oh, Narco, I really feel for you and Mr Narco. The unfolding drama of your MIL's health sounds seriously sad, heart-breaking, stressful, time-consuming and a huge requirement to get to know all of the care systems that revolve around being responsible for a person with a mutiplicity of health needs. (((Hugs))) heading your way because I know from experience just how hard it is. Please be as kind to yourselves (and each other) as you can while you're in the middle of all of this. It takes its toll, especially as it's on-going. I never felt I caught up with myself.

Round, you're doing well to get through your personal list on difficult days. I'm so pleased that your Monday at work wasn't as grim as it might have been. Well done for tackling it.

And a HUGE THANK YOU to Kazwookie, Narco and Ionfan for washing up bowl suggestions. I measured it to post the dimensions, saw Narco's suggestion about caravanning suppliers, googled it, checked ebay - and exactly the right size is on it's way in YELLOW! Bonus! I can't thank you all enough; this has been an irritation for about five years and it's been totally resolved through one post and combined Flylady power. How cool is that?!

Masses of washing up, baking of red peppers, yoghurt made from Prepping Long Life Milk that will go out of date on 20 April (and definitely not needed because I bought skimmed by mistake), two dog walks done, supper organised for tonight, vet's phoned to make an appointment on Thursday (first available appointment) because I have defo been bitten by a flea and they won't issue a prescription because they haven't met her yet. Suggestions made about how to make the most of tonight's cinema trip and therefore dog-sitter's booking. OH is on his way back so things will be easing up a bit after 2.30 pm this afternoon.

Layla's going to develop seperation anxiety if I'm not very careful so this morning's task is to come and go from the sitting room a lot, while she's relaxed and snoozing on the sofa. It's a good sign if she doesn't feel the need to follow me every time. Variable results, which is better than I expected.
    Better is good enough.
  • Tuesday: weather still good here, apologies to those enduring rain or worse!
Waylaid by some unexpected batch cooking today as OH is off to help mate paint his holiday home in Wales, so rustling up a curry n rice for them to take to eat at night and making some bread.
    S&S the bathroom n toilet
    Bedding changed
    Washing on
Empty glass jars found in garage and now in dishwasher ready to be filled with Easter eggs once clean.
    Kitchen floor cleaned.
Not too bad for today (she says blaming the sunshine! ) off to hairdressers now for long overdue haircut & colour.
  • Very down in the dumps this week, day off yesterday and spent most of it in bed staring at the ceiling, thankfully OH did some washing, made dinner, and had a general tidy.

My aim when I get in from work is to rustle up some dinner for his little boy, try and force myself to eat something, and have a quick once over of the bathroom and kitchen, then do the tiny amount of ironing whilst catching up on some TV.

I am determined to wake up tomorrow with some energy and determination again :o
  • Evening all, finally got round to catching up.

I had a long work trip yesterday, and an office day today. Tomorrow is another one of my 'long list' days: (should just copy last week's, but hopefully it won't take as long due to having done such crazy stuff last week
    Here we go:

Wish's wonderful Wednesday list to conquer

    Mount washmore
Hang wet washing up (sunshine please so it can go outside)
    Dry washing away
    Tidy kitchen
    Tidy dining room
    Tidy living room
    Tidy hall, stairs & landing
    Tidy bathroom
    Tidy Pickle's room
    Tidy our room
    Rubbish & recycling out
    Cellar sort & tidy
    Clear out the car
Tidy back yard in preparation for pressure washing.

    Think that's it for now.

No; I did have a lovely time actually. And it's a good job as I'm going to the Isle of Wight for 5 days with the Y6 class!

And I can quite see how my job would be stressful...:rotfl:

Been to the opticians and ordered new goggles; left eye is carp; right eye takes the strain beautifully and probably always has done:rotfl::rotfl:

Ironed; pegged out; brought back in; stripped and remade DS's bed.
