Probably won't get much done for the next fortnight, as Bluebell is here for her holiday.
However I have to do batter than the past three days, most of which I've spent flat on my back, with barely enough strength to lift a glass of water. I'm also off my food (which won't hurt the weight loss attempts I guess) - have barely eaten anything for said three days.
Just dumped Mr Wolf at the horse-piddle for his Parkinson's check-up; also told him to mention the motility issue that meant his colonoscopy was rather less than successful, as the endoscopy people thought that was Parkinson's related.
I have managed to shift some washing, however. Well, it's something - not much I grant you, but it is something! If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

jojo what a nightmare, just the sort of situation Mr N used to be called out for when he worked in Environmental health. Do you keep a diary of every time they make a noise before permissible hours?
Roundtuit good luck today, glad you have some colleagues on your side.
Today's plan:
Go to gym
Get cards and present for SILs birthday and wedding anniversary.
Check how many lilies I ordered for church last year.
Go to MILs flat, wash duvet and anything else needed. Check fridge.
Make sure work is on laptop so I can go to hospital this afternoon to give Mr N moral support but I've a lot on so need to finish at least one report today. This 40mile round trip is a pain!
Start getting documents together for Wed and Thurs assessments.
Do some sort of flying.
I could just hand them a calendar with Mon-Sat marked off for the last two years, I suppose.
The actual work starts bang on 8am, it's the shouting, yelled conversations from the toilet block dumped right outside my house (previously their site hut, which is how I recognise the foreman's voice from him shouting down the phone how effing stupid is this effing person and the effing wife needs to effing taken down a peg or two, all before work starts) and the entire road being blocked by the biggest HGVs possible that's the disturbing bit. Oh, and the seven builders sitting on my wall eating their breakfast whilst discussing the football.
Thing is, they're all off site and it's silent from 2pm. Absolutely nothing now, which will be the same until they finally get around to finishing the build - I reckon that had they carried on until daylight started to fade last summer, they would have been finished and sold by September. OK, then we have the noise of a bunch of families moving in, plus the chaos there will be from their cars trying to get in and out of the tiniest access road I've ever seen, but it's ridiculous how long they're taking.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Thanks for the threads, Natty and Valli.
Nighmare, Jojo. Horrible for you.
Well done, Kazwookie. 21lbs is amazing!
Little dog appears to be very happy, but is very over-excited by the cats which is worrying. Lots of useful information on techniques is available to merge animals, but it's going to take some time; in the meantime I'm keeping them apart. It'll be easier when OH returns tomorrow evening.
Tidying and vacuumming, dishwasher run and emptied, washing up bowl bleached again. I can't find a replacement to fit our sink; I've been searching for several years but the standard size now is too large. It really needs replacing but the bleach makes it sort of passable.Better is good enough.0 -
HB what size is your sink, and what size / colour / shape is the current bowl.
Maybe FL collective power may be able to find you another one.
Hoovering done

Thank you all for your thoughts and good wishes

They worked - I went to work. I got through the day. I didn't move office as there was another Team's manager sat in the room: I emailed my new manager and asked her to sort it. I kept my head down and got on with my work - then went to W'spoons for tea with DS - as he's had a day off.
Flying? ErmmI made my bed. Fed the birds. Oh and filled the birdbath. Pathetic
And breathe.
Love to all

Dinner cooked, kitchen tidied and swept. 1 load of towels washed and hanging indoors to dry.
Tomorrow I have to do some baking for volunteering on Wednesday, so there isn’t much point doing much else in the kitchen until I’ve finished making a mess.
Apart from baking, tomorrow’s list for me has to include bathroom cleaning and sorting out my tomato plant forest which seems to have taken over the dining room.
I’m hoping for a better night’s sleep tonight and even maybe sneaking back to bed with a cuppa in the morning.;)0 -
Been on a school trip - Cadbury's.

A bit of variation although some of list done as above.
MIL will come home if a hospital bed is put in her flat, at the request of the care company. New social worker (as she's at a different hospital) organised one to be delivered tomorrow am, so Mr N spent the evening dismantling her double bed, it will have to lean against the wall. Place is a mess as we haven't had time to go in there since blue light exit last Thurs, so guess what's on tomorrow's list?
But I finished and emailed a report, cooked dinner, spoke to my mum and brother on the phone, watered seeds and cleaned a sink.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
HB have you tried caravan supply shops for a bowl?Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
