Morning all
Happy birthday Narc0.:bdaycake: I hope you get some birthday time amongst all the other things.
HHI done and just waiting for the wm to finish. I will hang it outside as it is probably marginally warmer outside than it is indoors at the moment. If the gasman doesn’t turn up today I might cry. Or worse.
DH is faffing about and risking getting the sharp end of my tongue. I’m with you, Iona - DH is also putting in weight when he’s been told to lose it, so he also spends time wondering why he has to rest his ankle. It’s been so long that I can’t actually remember how - or even if! - he hurt it.
Slinky weigh in - another lb gained. It might have been nearer 2 but I got off the scales fast.
Hugs and coping vibes all round, especially to Narc0 and the Boys, Dancemum, LW and Round.0 -
Narc0 Happy birthday, I hope you have a good day xx
My new smart bit (like a fitbit, but I cannot afford one of those) has arrived, so it is currently charging, OH wants his one back, as apparently he is going to start going to the gym on Monday and every day there after............
Walk in park done, 9865 steps so far, will get to 10K in a little bit as I have 'stuff' to do.

I'm washed and dressed with hair combed and teeth brushed
First load is on the line (after checking the weather forecast) and second load is swishing. I've made my bed, fed the birds, put out the rubbish and some recycling, written & stamped the birthday card, stamped the Easter cards, cleared the airer, made sure I have money in my purse to pay hairdresser, and I'm now having a :coffee: and 'breakfast' (two apple puffs
)
Oh and I flung bleach down the loo and hand basin plughole. And opened curtains, and windows. The air is very 'fresh' here today!
Quali highlights are on at 1pm - hoping to be home to see it all, depends if the hairdresser is running late or not, and if there's a queue in the chippyChippy is next door to PO, opposite the hairdressers, so I'll fall in there to buy my lunch once I've been trimmed. Oh and on Thursday 18th Mr c00p is opening in the village - I must teach fruit to fall in to my basket, not the carp that usually hitches a lift home with me

Happy Birthday Narc0 - hope you have a lovely day xx
Spent nearly 5 hours in the classroom yesterday sorting the drawers and then making and laminating labels for them!! Didn't get a chance to start on the cupboard . . .
Been shopping this morning and that is all put away so am now watching GP quali as I didn't manage to get up early enough to watch it!
WM on too,

I hope Mr Ionafan, Mr Fayolle and Mr Jojo pull their sox up very soon so that Flyladies aren't irritated by their chaps.
Round, you had a nasty surprise at work, and it spoiled your last weekend but it's been resolved. I would let yourself off the hook for this one, and focus on doing something that makes you happy. It's rare I'll actually voice it, but sometimes there are more important things than Flying, and looking after yourself is this weekend.Slinky weigh in - another lb gained. It might have been nearer 2 but I got off the scales fast.
OH out doing something I'd have to be involved in if it weren't for the new doglet, so win:win! She's decided she's frightened of cars, so getting her out of the gate for a walks is a bit tricky. She's calmed down a lot and is sleeping for hours; I think she's beginning to realise she's safe here and can stop being hyper-vigalent and frantic. She's also fine to be left for several hours in the evening which is most unexpected. I have both her and Higgs, the huge black cat, curled up with me this morning. Sadly there's been another very short cat chase with Twiggle, who is so gentle herself she doesn't know how to deal with it.
My plans for today are to sort through some of the piles in my office and spend time keeping the dog calm and cat-friendly. A lovely day, in other words.
I hope all other Flyladies can have time to spend doing something they really enjoy.Better is good enough.0 -
Well, my car is acting up. I suspect a spark plug/lead/coil.
So Mum decided it was time to trade up. And as the local car dealership has a 0% finance offer on I'm picking up a new car on Monday. Well new to me. My first ever car-bought-from-a-dealer!
I plan to investigate the jalopy - if the fix is too much it will be off to the scrapyard. Insurance runs out on 23rd anyway so perfect timing. Or I shall sell it as a runner...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Thanks for all your good wishes. A mixed day so far but I managed the Park Run, walked fast on the hills in deference to my knee and only took about 5mins longer than when I run it. Had a lovely breakfast at Toby.
Meanwhile Mr N had a phone call from SW summoning us to hospital, long story involving inflatable mattresses and electrical tests but all medics have agreed that MIL should be back in the care home for at least 2 weeks. We were there 3hrs then rushed home to deflate mattress from her flat and drove it to care home.
Then Tesc0.
Now cooking as looking forward to nice evening in with SIL to dinner.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
:dance:Glad you've had a good day, Narc0. You deserve it after the busy-ness of past few weeks.
Oooh, Valli :dance::dance::dance:
I have done most of my list. There are still papers everywhere, and the marmalade fruit is cooking as I type, but I can see progress. Didn't take Rosie to the big hill, but a neighbour was passing my house with her dog as I took Rosie out, so we enjoyed each other's company on the longer walk through the woods - and I got to hear about the early arrival of (younger) NDN's new baby. Card written ready to deliver when I go downstairs
DH isn't home yet!0 -
