I'm not a pro-seller. Are pro-sellers the only ones who can create a new listing then?
So I guess with the herbal medicine my only choice is to list it and put that it is the 1992 edition in the description?
My other book (The complete herbal book for the dog by Juliette De Bairacli-Levy) doesnt have an ISBN. The dust jacket is missing so maybe it was on that?
I cant see the 4th edition specifically listed, and I cant see any numbers in the back of the book, but I will have a nosey of the websites that you mentioned.
Thanks,
MM x
You're welcome, and yes, it is only pro merchant sellers who can create new lisitngs. Is the herbal for dogs book this one?

If so this is the hardback listing for the 4th edition. Am presuming yours is hardback as the d/j is missing which of course you should mention in your listing. It can be difficult to sell book where many newer editions have been published because of course the older versions may lack info or new treatments etc. Also buyers don't always read descriptions so dont realise its an older edition leading to refunds or poor feedback. Some sellers email buyers to check they deffo want an older edition just to be sure.
Have also pm'd you re other book

hi i got a 1 out of 5 for a book that i sent immediately same day as sale in fact and got a really horrid email from the buyer 2 saying worse book she had ever bought etc etc it was described as stained yellowed and very tatty and she said that it was stained and scruffy which is why she was unhappy no previous contact before the feedback but sometimes you just gotta take it on the chin and put in a carefully worded reply i copied and pasted my description and said that if contact had been made i would have offered a refund but it doesnt seem to have affected my sales they are still dismal!!Save 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000

It is often discussed on the seller boards whether buyers actually read the descriptions sometimes. I have certainly had a 3* on a book where buyer mentioned disappointed that book was obviously used..However it was sold as category 'good' with all the marks and bumps noted. When I contacted the buyer she said she hadn't been aware she was buying from marketplace and that the book wouldn't be new, so she withdraw the feedback. I have no idea though how she could have navigated through all the system to choose my copy of th ebook from the hundreds listed and still not realise what she was doing.
I also had a 1* for an acceptable book I sold when I first started but when I complained to Amazon CS they removed the feedback , it is unfortunate that they are no longer prepared to do that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Can anyone help?
I went away, and I put my status on Amazon to the holiday mode. But I've just put it back to active and all my listings have disappeared. I don't know whether the 60 days were up, but surely I would have got an email or something?0 -
It can take a couple of days for them to switch back on, might it be that?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Perhaps. I know I've done it before and it has been fine/worked instantly. I'll wait a couple of days - I don't want to have to relist everything.0

I dont have one!!!! well thats my old Uni and books I used for reference for teaching going to the boot sale :-("Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. Just as an update on my huge batch of books I bought last month, I am selling them now slowly but steadily but the last few have all gone to libraries and University libraries not to individual buyers.
I am still selling more on ebay than Amazon, but I don't mind as long as they continue to trickle away.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
