I have quite an old book about wine which isn't listed on amazon uk, but it is on amazon com. There is only one and priced at over £200!

Obviously I'm not thinking I will get that sort of price, but can I list there when all my ratings (14!) are in the UK?

Thanks to anyone who can help

Sorry lulu but you need to have an amazon.com account, an address in USA and a bank account over there before you can list there. Try looking it up on bookfinder.com or bookprice24uk.com and see what other places might have it in stock as that might give you a better perspective on going prices for it. If there aren't any then it might well be worth that much!

Just bumping to rescue this thread from page 5 and also to say that I have found a sure fire way of increasing sales!...Get a job where you get no lunch hour and no access to a post office, arrange for DS to go to PO after school three times a week, then have DS sign up for after school exam revision classes that finish only after post offices close..then see how many sales you get

On one day this week when I had no way at all of getting anywhere near a PO for 3 days I managed to sell 9 books..in fact this week has been one of my best ever. I have resorted to being creative and taking some to work and s paying a temp to post them for me in her lunch hour, and even dashing to the sorting office at 6.45 in the evening and going down on bended knee to get them to accept my items direct. I have managed to keep to a time frame where all my books have been posted well within the 2 working day deadline so far. However I may have to give in and put my books on vacation settings next week as I am unlikely to be able to keep this up.

Otherwise known as sod's law!

Last year I sold 3 books in one day - the day that my Dad was involved in a car crash and ended up in hospital for a couple of days. Needless to say that I didn't get online for the best part of a week!

Real life always takes priority over internet stuff - even Amazon! :o

My problem is that my work is complicated so I am at different venues each day and am usually in a closed situation where couriers etc would not be able to get through security to see me. The temp thing only worked as I had permission for her to be accompanied in to see me at a certain time ..but I really can't rely on that one again.

It definitely is Sod's law though as I am off today and am even taking some ebay and Greenmet things to the PO..and I haven't sold a thing now for 24 hours on Amazon ..I keep delaying my PO trip just in case I get a flurry of sales.

I now grit my teeth and switch to holiday settings when this sort of thing happens, but I think it now takes longer to get a sale after being switched off. Is that just my imagination?
