I just bought something from an Amazon Marketplace seller and used a gift certificate! I have no idea how, as you can't use gift certificates. I've tried to do it again, but it won't let me

I really do believe in the conspiracy theory about servers being turned off sometimes.

Having sold absolutely nothing since Friday morning I have just had three sales in less than 30 minutes. Two of those sales are for books listed in excess of 12 months.

I have a CD I want to sell on Amazon, but when I enter its barcode, the entry that comes up has the correct picture, but entirely the wrong description - it says it's a classical nocturnes CD rather than the rock tribute CD that it actually is. Is there any way to get Amazon to correct it?

Unfortunately you can only put forward corrections to the catalogue if you are a pro seller.

Have you tried searching the title rather than the barcode?

Searching for the title doesn't find it

It's an import CD which I don't think helps matters. It's correct on the Canadian Amazon site but I can't list there, can I?

Of it is an import it may attract some attention on Ebay, or else you could try Playtrade.

Definitely a conspiracy theory believer here, just sold a 4th book..this is weird.

I've never really had much success on Marketplace, all my sales and been through playtrade.

If you are a pro seller you can 'create a new product listing', however, you can suggest updates for existing listings even if you are not - Amazon like this as it should make their catalogue more accurate - however, do not hold your breath whilst waiting for the update to be made (if ever).

To suggest an update go to the 'product information page' eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Conspiracy-Theory-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B000000GTY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1232903184&sr=1-1 = one for Soolin

Then scroll down to the 'Product Details' section - at the bottom of this section you will see:

Would you like to update product info or give feedback on images?

Click on the link and follow the instructions - good luck - if I remember correctly it takes a while even to fill in the details for change of 'title' for a book.
