Woohooo, another 2 sales, 1 book and 1 cd single which I never thought anyone would buy.:j
Only another 400 or so singles to list:eek: , although some will have to go on Ebay as they aren't listed on amazon0 -
No, I've looked through amazon listings and decided how much mine would be worth in comparison to others and taking into account the condition of the book. Some I had a look through bookfinder.com (?) as well. I've not listed some books cos there were loads on for 1p and I couldn't make any money if I sold them at that price. Some are doing really well and as they were all free, so far I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. What's the avarage price for a book do you think? I'm nearing £4 but not quite.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

You could try greenmetropolis.com for these - £3 per book after commission, but be prepared to store for a while as they take a while to shift on there. No listing fee though so you've nothing to lose.0 -
Thanks Bookworm63, I did actually list some of them on greenmetropolis, but there's been no word from there yet. On amazon I've sold almost one book a day since start of the year. And a few books I shall take to charity shop as they are too expensive to post or maybe I could try them on ebay? I have also few books/booklets that don't have ISBN numbers, would it be worth a try listing these on ebay as well? And is there a good place to sell magazines? I have 3 years worth of photography magazines. Thanks for all your help.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

You are doing well on Amazon - well done!
I haven't tried magazines so can't help you there I'm afraid.
Have you tried Play.com? I listed some this week and already sold one (10 commission-free sales at the moment too)
I have listed books with no ISBN on Amazon and play (not freebies from magazines though) - as long as you put it in the description, I don't see a problem.
I have got rid of some freebies with standard books by grouping by author and listing on ebay (eg 4 x Jane Green). I always check the weight beforehand and group to fit best with the postage bands.
Watch out for new postage limits on books coming soon on ebay - max £2.75 - starts 27th January. If it costs more than that you'll have to add it to the start price - I think we are going to see a lot more fixed price listings once this comes into force.0 -
Selling on Amazon.com:
I appreciate that unless you have a US address and US credit etc, you cannot sell on amazon.com. However, is there anyway of having your listing come up on that site in $ linked somehow to your amazon.co.uk account.
The reason I ask is that I see a number of book sellers listing in £ on .co.uk but saying that it will be sent from Florida or somewhere in the USA. Basically I want to do the exact opposite of what they are doing if you see what I mean?
Can it be done?0 -

When you list, you have the option to make the item available overseasMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Like fay says.
Just remember though that the overseas postal credit really only covers light books, so don't go mad with what you allow visible to overseas buyers. On marketplace somewhere there was a thread that calculated how light a book could be to cover the European / Worldwide postage. I can't find the thread but I recall the weight was quite light, certainly less than 500g. However, as with listing UK books you can build some leeway into your item cost to cover the extra.
I once spent over £10 shipping a very expensive book to Finland where the postal credit had been about £4 after fees, but I consdiered it well worth the extra as I still cleared nearly £50.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I enquired about this to Amazon as I wanted to list in France (where I live now) and appear on .co.uk. Disappointingly, they said I could only have one account and had to be registered on .fr if I lived in France. Also listings would only appear on co.uk if I paid the monthly seller subscription. They also somehow managed to delete my main account instead of the one I mistakenly added...... I gave up and now do what I can to sell a few books on ebay.0
