Wonder if anyone could give me some advice pls?

I have had a book returned to me from a buyer as I had mistakenly sent the wrong book. I have refunded her the full amount, but she has now asked for a refund of the cost of sending the book back to me.

I am happy to do this as it was my fault - but when I go onto Amazon, it shows as being fully refunded and wont let me refund anything else. ANy suggestions pls?

Am presuming you don't have a cheque book? I know lots of folk don't these days. Alternatively you could ask her if she would like stamps which would cover the cost, depending on how much it cost you could maybe buy a book of stamps which comes the nearest [over] to the amount she paid?

    Hi

I have just left feedback for my first purchase from Amzon marketplace - 1 out of 5.

I bought the book for a xmas pressie and 2 weeks on, it hasn't arrived. I have sent 2 messages to seller and no response. So, I left the 1 out of 5. Within 30 mins the seller responded with quite a nasty email saying he hadn't got any messages from me (they were sent through Amazon); that I had ruined his business and normally he would refund but would only do so if I removed the feedback.

I have replied that I will remove the feedback when either a refund or the book is received.

I can't believe this sellers attitude - is it me?? I take great care to show courtesy to customers and try to resolve problems not cause more. When I have been left less than perfect feedback I have politely contacted buyer.

Has put me off buying again!

    Hi Debs

Thanks for that. I have removed feedback as they have refunded me (I just don't need the hassle).

I might leave a 3/5 because the book didn't turn up, he didn't answer emails and he was rude. Then again, I might just leave it..

    Need to have a think.

I now need to find my book - Shirley Goode 'The Shirley Goode Kitchen', if anyone has a copy?? I would rather buy from someone off here.

Donna just from a seller's point of view, I have been in the situation with getting an A-Z claim when I have received no emails from the buyer??? Yet in their claim, they say they have had no contact from me. It is one of those things with email.

However I cannot condone the seller's rude response to you. Glad you got your money back and you should definitely mention poor customer service in your feedback.

How's every one doing for Christmas sales?

I only took of my holiday setting late on Christmas Eve and sold nothing Christmas day but in the last hour I have two smallish sales and a pending...so back to the PO tomorrow, it's as though I have never been away.

Sorry to hear that you have caved in to this aggressive seller, once you have removed feedback you will not be able to re-enter the feedback again.

If a seller does not monitor their email to an extent of being able to reply to or receive emails, either by checking their spam folder or settings, though have never heard of an amazon communication being classed as spam, they do deserve to be marked down on poor feedback. Their aggressive response is likely to be their standard method of intimidating buyers into removing feedback and it's likely that this seller would have a much worse feedback as a result if they did not threaten buyers. It's not findabookman is it? their feedback speaks volumes for the sort of service they deliver, and can make rather amusing reading on ocassion! Though even when maintaining a feedback in the low 90's they achieve a very nice amount of sales

  • Had a really long dry spell on the run up to Christmas broken by a sale late on Christmas Eve - several since which has helped a bit. Had hoped to make the £4K profit in 12 months but £200 short, damnit! Not complaining mind you ! Thanks fairy !!

    HNY to all!
