    hello everyone.

I too have been a bit up and down of late.  I'm basically maintaining for now, just trying to eat as healthily as possible and not regain too much and undo all my good work.

I still need to lose another 1 stone or so, so I will be joining you all again and getting back down to business in the new year.
  • I think I’ve decided to wait ‘till after Christmas, hope this thread picks up a bit then 😀
  • Hi Hollowhead......

Welcome.  I am sure the thread will get busy in the new year.  I for  one will be back with a vengeance.  😂

    Good morning Weight Watchers.

I said I would be back with a vengeance in the New Year,  well here I am.  😁

Target 1.5 stones by 6th July - my birthday.  And it's a big one, ending with a zero.  My goal is to be "Sensational at Seventy" ...... so time to lose weight and get fit.

Time to get my act together and get the show on the road.

    Starting today.
  • I also have a big birthday ending in 0 this year, my big 4-0. I have 3 stone to lose before then, I've been making the habits of tracking my food and have started again this Saturday with a vengeance. Dry January will help the weight loss efforts.

  • Hi FiscalPickle

There's nothing quite like a big birthday to focus the mind......... we can do this.

Day 4, doing ok. Managing to stick to my points so hopefully I should see some progress soon.  Tried on some of my favourite jeans and trousers the other day. 😱🤣.  Would like to be fitting in them by Easter. 🤞
  • Oh dear, Day 5. Put myself on scales for a progress check.  No change, despite sticking faithfully to plan. Disappointing.

Ok well even with the huge fish finger butty and fries I had for dinner last night and the copious amounts of oreo thins I ate when I was catching up with Corrie I've still got 2 weekly remaining points and 43 fitpoints ( I do a lot of dog walking so manage to amass quite a lot of steps and I have discovered my fitbit connects and automatically adds the points on - more points than I was allowing myself when I was putting it in myself!).

My reset day is Monday. So I'm on it. Now what to have for lunch? Lunch is my biggest issue trying to find low point options that don't leave me hungry as I do like carbs to fill me up.

I haven't dared brave the scales as yet, I'm hoping to lose a bit before getting up the courage to look at how much I put on over Xmas!

I try and weigh in just once a week on my designated day, I find it really helps as our weight fluctuates for all kinds of reasons. I've always found sticking to plan works in the long term, but in the short term hormones and hydration can throw our bodies all kinds of curve balls. Good luck, we can definitely do this!
