What small DFW things will you do w/c 1st April?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning frugal pals. Happy Monday and happy new month. Good time to start a fresh if you need to, clean slate and all that. My plans for today:

Fill a form that is very difficult as no one seems to know the answers
    Check banking
Some meat of freezer for tea and a few anchovies I have previously frozen that we're left from a tin
Made overnight oats, added some ground seeds that are in my use up box
Double check meal plan for the week
    Update food spends
Cook something for tomorrow so it's easier after work
Triage fridge and fruit bowl - chopped up a melon
Peg washing outside, 2 loads done, just one more to go

Have a good day all. Purps.

    Morning all

Thanks to purps for starting us off. Sorry for being AWOL again - life has been very bust the last 2 weeks but we're settling back to normal. I haven't caught up with last week's thread yet so apologies if I've missed anything. We went to visit my cousin at the weekend and spent far less than expected which is good as we have a VERY tight month,

Ally I don't know what I've done either but it is happening on firefox, internet explorer and chrome. Clicking the # just puts [code] around the words! I used to have a button that said "toggle html view" but it's now gone :/ very weird.

    Little list for today:
    *B/L/D from stores - done
*Charge phone in work - done
    *Gym after work - done
    *No alcohol - done
    *Heating off - done
*Used dehumidifier water to water plants - done
*Start sewing crocheted leaves onto blanket - done
*Used the last of my amazing(!) 10 year bonus to order new toothbrush heads - done
    *Relax - done
    *Check PMP - done
*OH very kindly did a small shop to see us until Friday (normal shopping day) as we were away at the weekend - done

    Have a good one all

    Morning Campers,
Ooooh, a cold day today, but dry & bright, so it was on with the big poncho first thing & off to a good start with my job list - frugal bits as follows:
*Updated budgets & did cash swaps to keep various different 'pots' correct.
    *Baked wholemeal loaf.
    *Bake biscuits.
*Decide which savings pots would most benefit from the £20 refund I procured yesterday.
*Did a load of laundry overnight to benefit from cheaper tariff, alsoa short 'handwash' cycle this morning as wanted to peg out while I can & not have to pay for heated airer use.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & home made porridge pot.
    *Feed sourdough jar.
*Check veggie seedlings & plantlets. Chucked out a manky cucumber baby in case it felt like infecting the rest of them.
*Thaw salmon & batch cooked curry sauce for an easy 'ready meal tonight, as in just poaching one in t'other.
*Vacuum conservatory now that mr f has shifted a ton of his 'between jobs' work gear.
*Two further kettles of boiling water planned for dodgy drain. Ongoing issue, really, but we can usually sort it without recourse to a plumber so will keep trying. It's better than it was, even though mr f did end up smelling very drainy yesterday!
*Knit more of current stash project.
    *Update my DFW diary.
*Check for surveys - just a couple of little ones today but they all add up.
*Use-it-ups - an eye shadow, a final application of houseplant food which has been hanging around so long it's just annoying me now, & I will be rounding up anything fridge/fruit bowl related which needs using to add to my lunch.
Have a great start to April.

    Morning all.

Been a busy couple of days with family events and whatnot.
    Plan for today:
Hoover throughout the house. (how does so much random fluff appear so quickly???)
    Fold dry washing
Make soup with past best broccoli and stilton.
As above with random veg and chicken thighs (not past best :rotfl:)
Freeze all of above soups into handy ready meal portions for the week ahead.
    Update spreadsheets (done)
Stop DC's from throttling each other now they're off school :rotfl:
    Have a good one :j

CLF, do you view the thread through the old or the new version? Sounds like a CSS fail, maybe. Have been unable to replicate your problem to look for a fix.

Maybe post on the Forum help thread to ask MSE Andrea for a fix. (Link)

Foxgloves that kinda sounds like you apply houseplant food to yourself. :D
