Phonebox direct customers on Vodafone get your line rental reduced.

I just phoned vodafone and explained Phonebox direct had went into liquidation,I got my line rental reduced to £5 a month for remainder of contract. This doesn't make for loosing a years line rental but helps soften the blow.Number I phoned 0870 0779 779

MSE UPDATE - please dont use the tel no above, 191 from your mobile is free and will get you straight through to customer services rather than needing to be redirected.

that's very generous of them, considering they didn't have to to anything. well done
:p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
  • Don't bother with T mobile - they have just said you can't downgrade your package til MONTH 11!!!
They are not interested what so ever, so in 5 months we change to Vodaphone, O2, 3 or Orange - I hope they lose all their customers.

    i think it's month 11 of a 12 month contract and month 17 on an 18 month contract. three aren't flexible either, i think that's month 12 and a £25 fee

Voda just told me it was my fault - i took the deal and i can't move my tariff and they won't help in the slightest! And i tried my nicest most girly voice too ;)
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

Waiting for T-mobile to phone back at the moment, called them back to ask why it says you can downgrade after 6 months on the back of their bill. They said t&c's changed in May - at which point I replied that this contract started on 1 April - so call from manager pending!

Did you phone the number I quoted,I found it in another thread which refered to dialamobile another firm that went bust a couple of months ago.when I phoned and told them Phonnebox direct had ceased trading and could they help, the girl mentioned Dialamobile and I think she thought phonebox where part of that company.I mentioned the £5 a month deal saying that I knew somebody else who had been given it,she altered my contract there and then.I would keep phoning and emphasise the fact you know somebody who has been given the deal and not the fact you are with Phonebox direct.

just did this, BUT BE CAREFUL

what they need to tell you is that you are tied into a new 12 month contract,

offer seems nice but take that into account.

    goodluck

I have had my contract since May 2007 and confirmed when I spoke to them that my contract would still finish in May 2008.
