Well I can only say that Monday and Tuesday just continued to be a series of mishaps including me spilling some milk, managed to save a form only for one of the cats to knock my tea over and ruin the form:(Need to ring for a new one
CCL I'm just waiting for my new vacuum. Have to admit that my white cat who is not fazed by anything was less than impressed having a wipe down from the dust (probably why she knocked my tea over:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
3 wheeled dust spitting vacuums have alot to answer for as I had to do another full wipedown of the kitchen yesterday.
Managed to pick up a box from Tesc@s this morning. Took a deep breath and repackaged parcel. Everything good and will use RM survey stamps to send
Banking all checked
Quidco checked
RM items sent. Have fallen slightly behind again
Frog still to be finished:o-I will do this today!
Recycling out and everything sorted
Currently on use ups from fridge for meals
Bought the cats their favourite tins from Tesc@-still 50p cheaper than anywhere else
Cant think of anything else
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hectic day today. Did 2 hours in the garage (8am - 10am), then had to stop, have a shower, get changed and get an Uber to go into work for a couple of meetings (car still not fixed - they've promised Friday). First meeting at 11am, finished at 1, then another meeting at 2pm so not worth going home (particularly without a car!) so I took a flask of soup with me. Got a lift home after the second meeting, which was lovely and very kind. I had a cup of tea and a sit down, then got changed and managed another hour painting in the garage. I could have carried on longer, but I finished one particular area and didn't have enough time to make it worth while starting another section. Tomorrow is another day!!
Now I'm sitting watching my £11 a month Sky TV (very happy about that!!), and in a bit I'll head off to the gym. No heating on today - not putting it on now, even though it's cooled off a bit, cos I know that when I get back from the gym I won't need it.
Dinner tonight will be some chilli con carne from the freezer, with some couscous (that's another serving of pasta used!), but not until after the gym.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Hello
Another long and tiring day, and this migraine seems to have dug in for the long haul. Day 3 and still going strong. I wish the tablets were a bit cheaper though (Migraleve). Had my first couple of appointments of the week. First with the police, who have been round to visit ex after I raised concerns (again) about his mental health. I know he won't do anything but I will at least feel as though I'm doing something to try and sort the situation.
Managed to get into work for not long after 10am and was busy all day, followed by Parents Evening so didn't get home till 6pm. Thankfully was provided sandwiches at work so I haven't had to worry too much about dinner tonight. Thanks for all the suggestions for the veggies - I will get onto it.
Too busy for spending so I've managed another nsd. Now just got to get myself an early night and hope this headache makes a move. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening all
OH and I have been out today. We visited a local-ish attraction to which we have membership, so no extra cost except for fuel. We took our lunch and made coffee and tea (took our old camper van). Nice walk in the sunshine, which the dog enjoyed as well
Apart from that:
Plumber came round to look at boiler to investigate low hot water flow. Looks as though a repair is needed - hopefully it won't be too expensive
Heating remains off
Collected special offer meat from the butcher - 3 pork tenderloins for £5. OH cut these into 'medallions' and froze in bags suitable for one meal. Lots of meals there. Local meat too!
Posted an ebay parcel
Did some bank stuff - a regular savings account is ending, and I needed to sort out what to do next
Made another banana loaf
Covered potato pots up with fleece as the shoots are showing through now and it is chilly at nights.
Watered seedlings in mini greenhouse
Got mattress topper, which we washed yesterday in the bath, off the line. It has dried well in the sun and wind and can finish off in the airing cupboardDecided that the duvet, which is much bigger, is going to the laundry, as we really struggled with the topper  I am not supposed to lift heavy things atm and OH has a bad back, and we both decided that we aren't as strong as we were 20 years ago :rotfl:
Cleaned bathroom floor
Sausages for dinner, Made oven chips with last of potatoes to go with them
Stove alight now, so will clean up after dinner and curl up in front of it for the evening with the dog. The kettle is on for tea laterOH is going to a meeting, so theTV can stay off - bliss!

I've decided to finally join the modern world and update to the new version of the forum as it appears not to work correclty on my new work hard drive. I can't get out of HTML view (Ally I bet you know how to fix it)
Erm, I have no idea what you've done! :rotfl: Is it HTML-ing in the box you want to type in to post? If so try clicking Advanced and clicking the # button on the screen. Otherwise I recommend eye of newt and toe of frog. What browser are you using?

Morning all, hello from the sandpit. Summer is officially delayed, temperatures hovering in the mid-20s with rain showers. Obviously, nobody explained to the weather gods that the primary function of deserts is to be dry!
It's payslip day! My employer issues the payslips the day before the cash actually arrives. Unfortunately, my bank spoils all the fun by showing the inbound transfer 24 hours ahead of time. It's like getting unwrapped presents for Christmas.
The employer's mucking about with pension providers again. This means yet another pot, or another transfer with corresponding losses. Anyway, upped contributions from 8% to 10% from this month (company matched), so if I survive to retirement then I won't have to live on instant noodles and rainwater. Hopefully.
Otherwise, the plan's ticking along well. Nice not to have a credit card bill this month0
