Morning all
Piggers - I took DD to the dr for exactly the same last week. They did not make us feel like we were wasting their time at all.
Kaz - all those questions / thoughts are really good something I feel that I need to squirrel away in my fuzzy brain.
I’m not liking this chasing my tail game of working more. I’m going to have to do the grocery shop tomorrow morning which I hate. Yesterday in the mammoth search for DD’s school book (still no sign), I ended up pulling out furniture a little bit more (alright, a lot more) than usual. More jobs added on the list as everywhere was filthy. Also we have sooooo much stuff. I obviously have got used to seeing it until I have to move it. Toots list will have to be rejigged into smaller chunks. Ho hum.
Off to work via school run, then we have tickets to the theatre tonight. We are calling it revision as it is the Scottish Play.
Have a good day all.0 -

Well that was a day and a half! In anticipation of Mr N going straight to the hospital (she didn't come home yesterday as the care package wasn't in place) after the gym, I settled to a flying session:
- DW emptied and put away
- other wudupa
- kitchen surfaces wiped and major gibble tidied
- one load washing done and hung out
- bird feeders filled
- 3 flower arrangements replenished from guest room, dining room and lounge
- vacuumed hall, lounge and dining room
- results of yesterday's assessment emailed to uni
At which point (11.45am)Mr N appeared in rather a flap; he'd come out of the gym to find various messages on his mobile to say that as not enough carers were currently available, MIL was going to be sent to a local care home to recuperate - at 2pm. Over we scurried. MIL seemed in good form, glad to be leaving hospital and with the minimum of moans when told she wouldn't be going to her flat but "somewhere else" where she would be looked after till she was stronger. Sort of like a hotel" Mr N added. I did her nails. And sat. And went for a coffee while MIL had lunch. And sat. 2.30 we decided that time was best spent whizzing down to our surgery to collect Mr N's prescription then meeting the ambulance at the new care home. Of course we hadn't walked as far as our car until the hospital rang to say they were just loading her into the ambulance. We still made it to the home before she did: everyone seems really friendly and her room is nice, if small, but has a window looking out onto the garden/courtyard. Well done Kaz for listing care home criteria - not that we had choice or time! The home is in her home town, so if she gets to the stage of walking out, it will be familiar as it is a small town with one high street. Of course she's only there till they find carers - for Mr N's sake I hope that is a while so he can have a good rest.
Left her asleep recovering from a rather wild ambulance ride (lots of speed bumps!) while I went out to buy her some tissues, a new nightie and some tulips. We then came home and crashed for 20 mins then Mr N sorted washing, I arranged flowers and quickly checked guest bathroom (cleaned sink) and spare room for BIL who arrives later.
Mr N has gone back to check her while I start a report and cook dinner. Rest anyone?Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

thank you!!! Our surgery make you feel like you're wasting their time if you go with your innards as outards !! lol I couldn't get her in today.. no appointments left by 8:40! Try again Monday I guess!
TD dried my things and I really need that stupid timer fixing.
DW x2
Put away a whole 3 items!
I am sorting April and May budget now, it's very boring and really I want to go to bed or do my knitting.
I am considering writing some childrens stories once my beasties are all away to school/nursery in September. I have a list of notes.. I have wanted to write and have stuff published since I was very small so I am making plans and notes.. and we shall see. I might not get there but it is this weeks aim .. I will grow up one day!
I need to get my act together tomorrow and get some cleaning done.. my hovel is a swamp and I'm having motivation and time issues.. I NEED more hours in the day and more days in the week..

Morning
Wow - you have all been mega-busy this week! I'm worn out just reading what's been accomplished. As well as paid work, the usual visiting, make bed/ feed birds/ put out rubbish and recycling, all I've managed is to sort another couple of inches of paperwork from the box, and make a bulky item collection request - so, at some point, the single bed base and mattress will magically disappear from my life :T
I had a 'wobble' at work on Thursday - with Mother's Day looming on the horizon I had a 'moment'. Lovely colleague suggested that instead of dreading the day I buy Mum some flowers or let a balloon go in her memory, or visit where her ashes were scattered. That'll be another 'first' over. And breathe...
Lots to do - but it's early yet so I'll have another brew to set me up for the day.
Love to all

Happy weekend all.
I am awake with a cuppa. First load in WM. Only 3 to do today I think, plus the towels.
Didn't get loads done last night, folded a load from TD, gathered up the pots and DW on. Had pizza delivery for tea. Watched a bit of TV with DD, ventured into DS's room and finished sorting accommodation for his first choice uni with him. Some research of same for his insurance choice needed this weekend I think, so we can get that done. Even his insurance choice wants high grades, so all down to him then. I am staying calm, it always works out in the end, even if it takes a bit longer! Could do with him going this year really though, so that I don't end up with two there at the same time, given how much it's going to cost me each year .
Anyway, cuppa drunk, so I'm going to make another and set the timer for a HH general tidy. Then a list I think. I must update my Asda shop or I'm going to get a lot of loo rolls tomorrow morning.

Brew supped
Plan is to sort Mount Washmore into hillocks and set first load swishing, put a bowl of pots to soak, then get dressed before putting out the recycling and feeding the birds. Don't want to frighten the neighbours
Back soon
