    Morning folks x

    Ground floor dysoned
    Wmx2 done
    DS2 dispatched on school bus

Dancepops came home Monday and fell Tuesday morning combined with strange behaviour so is back in hospital. Apparently he is now medically fit but doesn’t look like it.
Dancegran cant cope she keeps pressing her lifeline or ringing every time we leave her.
I have a cold and feeling shaken.
I need to help DS2 make choices with his exams coming up.

Think I need to start looking around care homes. Any advice on what to ask?

Mrs MP big hugs to you and your family xx don't worry about flying, just care about your family xxxxxx

I think I am going to plant some bulbs, he loved daffs, I have just picked some out of the garden, and put them in a vase.

Dancemum, both my parents were in a nursing home as is my SIL currently, my thoughts in no special order (and I have no qualifications in this area either) but for what they are worth
    Gut feeling
Front door security (will it just open or is there a key pad)
    Do guest sign in
Is there CCTV on the main corridors
Visiting hours, (I was lucky as the distance I have / had to travel, I could visit when ever I wanted and did)
Ask to see the kitchens / bathrooms / laundry room. If they say no, question why that is. (ie what are they hiding)
Ask to see the menus, how often is it changed/ diets/ special foods.
Ask to see at least 2 or 3 rooms even if they are occupied, (old folk love some one to talk to, ask the occupier how long they have been there / what have you done this week)
Afternoon activities / days out / TV room
Do other medical services visit, such as dentist, opticians etc
When do they do medicines / ask to see the medical area / logs, (you will be suprise what you find, I was, as the drugs cupboard was unlocked, in an unlocked room.
Does it generally look clean and tidy, are there cleaners about / assistants.
Look for the alarms in each room, ask what is the rough answering time to an alarm.
Chat to the residents, they can tell you a lot of what goes on.
Ask you local friends etc where they would use
Ask about monthly billing / who is paying / rates /what is / not included.

Car now in for its service (correct day)
Walked back via the park, did a circuit of the park as extra, to get my steps up.
Off to clean in a bit.

    nail fixed.
    Boiler dude here
Listening to a live video while typing and sorting other things.
DS2's stuff mostly out of the washer.. I have had to rewash 3 tshirts and dragged his dressing gown off his back to wash too.. they are just hideous.. I might actually be able to salvage this full wash load.. though he has willingly binned some old clothes.. I am impressed.. he has a hard time with change so this is huge.

Some advice.. not asking for medical advice just a what would you do?

Moomin (16) is having AF every 2-3 weeks.. she is 7st 5.. last night she fainted on me.. she was standing in the doorway taking her makeup off and just said 'I feel funny' and collapsed in a heap..

I'm thinking I need to take her to the dr and have her checked for anaemia at least and see if there is a cause for it. her psoriasis on her back is looking a bit crusty too. She had eaten, it was one of the things I asked. Am I over-reacting?

I feel that if it is a one off it is a bit melodramatic.. it is unlikely to have any sinister cause..

you know what.. people go to dr's with colds and grazed knees.. I can take her and it not be wasting their time right?... See why I need help? haha

Right... phone call to get dryer repair.. it's just the timer so still useable if I monitor it.

Pigpen, take Moomin to the dr, to me it is not normal for a 16yo to feel like that or to faint. Book an appointment.......

Definitely book an appointment Pigpen, a small MOT for Moomin is a good idea, they may just advise vitamins/iron or even the pill to assist with AF.. Always worth a check!
Hope she is feeling a little better today..

    DW reloaded and WU done.

    That's it flying wise.

DD helped with her application for internship and first one sent off.

Tea and gossip with friend before taking her to her physio appointment.

Tomorrow is going to be another busy day but OH will be home at the end of the day and the end of my giant toad is in sight. So plenty to look forward to.

    Hugs to all
Off to bed with my camomile tea
  • Thank you for the suggestion Pigpen, I've written it down. I try not to take sickness tablets, they seemed to make me worse in the past I think, but I may have to try something new as I seem to get worse as I get older. I'm hoping it's my erratic hormones and it will all calm down when I'm past all that! Definitely take your DD to the doctors by the way, I would do the same.

Managed to give the living room a quick hoover this morning before work and a quick dust of the visible bits this evening! Load of washing through, in TD now. Cooked tea, cleared up, DW on. DS sprained ankle playing football, sorted ice-pack, he's hobbled off to bed now, hopefully he'll be able to walk in morning, he's too big to carry to college!

I'm glad it's Friday tomorrow, feeling a bit weary. At least the weather has cheered up a bit, I was going to fetch the rotary line out of the garage so I can hang out now the worst of the winter is over (hopefully). Will try to do that over the weekend.

I fell off the wagon and ate a bar of Dairy Milk. At least it wasn't a big one. Night all.
