    Evening all!

Not been on for a bit, been very busy! I almost wrote 'busty' there... well, I have now!!

Well you lot have made me giggle tonight!

Hark at Haribos new vehicle driving along near the Woolwich ferry! Love it!

Crazy and her OH making mash with chocolate spread? Well, who's going to give it a try first?!

Hester-that was a lovely thing you did today-dealing with upset 12-year-olds is a hard one for me too, I'm glad I chose Secondary rather than Primary as with the little ones I'd just want to Mother them and you can't do that anymore.

Had my Sainsburys delivery earlier-cost a bit more this time as we're slowly stocking up on the Christmas bits and took advantage of some offers we knew we'd use. I'm now watching 'Don't Tell The Bride', it's meant to be hilarious (well Scott Milss said so!) so I'm going to sit and watch it with a hot dog or two!

    Mehefin - what's a 'spadger'? If it's a sparrow crossed with a badger, that is BRILLIANT!!! ;)

    Evening all:D

I think I'm finally over the lurgy;) (suppose I should have a fingers crossed smilie there) Had a rotten morning where I felt that death would be the kinder option, then suddenly really began to perk up:D So anyone still enduring it, improvement can be sudden and dramatic.

Shez, when did you take that photo? If you'd stood about another 20 yards back you'd have got in the hairdresser I used to use about 20 years ago:rotfl: Riveting stuff eh? I can just imagine the Haribos driving along waving to their adoring fans:D

stefejb, hope exdh has provided the dinner tonight, otherwise definitely go with beans on toast.

catowen, hope your friend has been ablt to *get through* to your children. I do think sometimes, being one step removed helps a lot. They're good kids basically, so I'm sure they'll come round soon.:D

Must go and get some meat out of the freezer to thaw. I fancy a really hearty beef stew for some reason (strange choice when I haven't been able to eat for days:confused: ) so will have that tomorrow, with potatoes and dumplings:rotfl: I need to build up my strength after all;)

Off for a look round, I didn't get a chance to get on all day. So sad:rotfl:

steph---Don't you hate office politics, or in your case court politics:mad: It the one thing I hate about going to work.. Give your oh some paste sandwiches and tell him to cough up for the £100 pcm. If he is getting £3,000pcm he can well afford it:eek:

The Skinflint himself just asked what I'm laughing out loud at. Have shamed him into getting fish and chips by wondering out loud if a can of beans and two eggs can make dinner for 3. I can't eat paste at all - flashback from chldhood - my mum used to put sardine and tomato paste in our sandwiches when she could be bothered to make them. she would put a thin layer on and then scrape most off again leaving barely a molecule behind. Other childhood horrors include stew, spam fritters, very very orange cheese spread that came in a jar and dinner-tea the latter is when lunch came so late that she couldn't be *rsed to make dinner as well. No wnder I beat myself up trying to be a domestic goddess :)

dd is trying to watch something on youtube through my very very slow dial up and has announced that she is fed up with everything in this house being so cheap and tacky - I have suggested that the honorable young lady address any concerns to the aforementioned ex
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
