They'll see you coming in that one, Haribo :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Dates and apples soaking for the cake. Hoping to tempt in a lumberjack later

Can anyone point me to D&DD's apple braid? Can't seem to find it

Shez, you have no idea how accurate that pic is! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Penny, D&DD's apple braid is here....I thought you must have missed it because it looks just like your kind of thing. I haven't tried it yet because I am realistic enough to know my baking limitations.
Why is it that when Haribo takes a few days off from the daily everything runs smoothly? The minute she returns, chaos reigns once more!

Pink - it's really easy. I wasn't too sure how I'd manage but it was really simple to do. Looked impressive too when cooked. Intend to use the dough recipe to make spiced iced fingers next.

I wrote a long comment but the computer ate it!!!
She is not an "honoured guest" or"distant family" - she is a lodger and she should be adding to your finances rather than depleting them.
If I remember rightly from your blog she is drinking a bottle of your wine a night and has free computer access plus running the washing machine etc any time she likes!
Now she is late with the rent! She is showing no respect for the fact that she is in your home and even if you were rolling in money it is not acceptable for her to be living at your expense.
No decent school would be happy that one of their teachers was owing rent and anyone else would have her stuff in bin bags at the front door!
You deserve better than this and she deserves a lot less!
I forget who mentioned the latest Paul Doherty book but he is one of my favourite authors - which book is it as I have just got "The Waxman" from the library.
Might go into York to get a few pressies later but need to check what I already have stashed away while no one is here to peek!
Defrosting some chicken mince and might make shepherd's pie later but can't seem to get myself moving.
Keyboard keeps either refusing to type random letters or else runs away with itself! If I did not keep checking and correcting - this would look dyslexic!
Hugs to everybody."This site is addictive!"

Haribo Australian Woman's Weekly..........well say no more, it should be a crackerjack recipe.
Are you sure it wasn't called that?
Crackerjack means *fantastic* here.... don't tell PPen.
Shez What's that written on the side of the truck. Dragon

Cheerfulness The braid looks yummy. I might try it too.
Kyle Lorenzo must get it from you & Twink.
Well my knitting doesn't look like it's suppose to. I think my needles are too big. I'll have to look at it tomorrow. Off to bed now. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Elona - it was me that mentioned Paul Doherty - and yes it was the new "Waxman" one, and although it's scary, it wasn't as creepy as some of his, so I was ok turning out the bedroom light out by myself!!! Unlike when I read some of the ones based on the characters in the Canterbury Tales and had to leave the light on all night as dh was away!!!!!!“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Have you read the ones set in ancient Egypt - they are my favourite although I also like the ones st in Rome with Claudia as a reluctant agent of the empress.
I must have read nearly everything he has written by now - even the ones he wrote under the name of Michael Clyns.
Have decided not to bother going to Boots this afternoon unless DH gets home early and offers me a lift.
Post has just come and got a freebie Aussie sachet that will make a great stocking filler for my DD."This site is addictive!"

Hi Guys!!
Havent read the whole thread but hope your all OK. Not having a good day today but DD is back to school as she had a dance assessment and she was in a group of 4, so couldnt let them down.
Must be OK for later as my study buddy will be on MSN and we have an essay to do by next Tuesday (1 week extension)...I am really NOT looking forward to it. My brain is mushed up ATM:D
OH went to 99p store earlier and did our normal 3 month stock up. Tempo tissues, air freshners, dish clothes, branded flu/lemsip powders/capsules, bronchial mixture, brand name shampoo/conditioner, sweets:rolleyes: 4 pineapple cans for 99p and 8 items that I will stick on Ebay as will make £2.50 profit per item:D ...well.... it all adds up. Total spend £30...not bad really. Then he bought 6 cards from a card factory at 29p each...and were good quality too...will put in the drawer incase we need them with the others. Have already done all cards for next year and paid pennies for them all.
Anyway, we have SHEPERDS PIE for dinner tonight:j :j :j :j
Take care everyone.
