Hi Elsiepac it is Pukk4 teas. The Detox tea is rather good too.

I have just had a walk up to the shops and spent £1.87 on veg. I also discovered that the reason why my feet are getting so cold when I am out is because I am shipping water in my trainers. Drat!

Yesterday's shop came to £6.75 not £6.45 so also need to fess up to that.

    NSD 1/15...hopefully more

Woo hoo NSD no. 1 for me! ....I find these quite addictive! And a great excuse for staying away from the shops.

Elsiepac, there are defiantly worst things than tea so go for it!:D
I might try some of that night time tea as I nod off easily but tend to wake up several times during the night....:o
One thing I have done recently is make a list on my phone of evening meals that we tend to like and eat fairly often.....I will look at that if I need a bit of inspiration if I'm at a loss of what to cook.
I also discuss what meals we'll plan to eat with Mr Van, as he tends to be a bit fussy. I generally plan a few days ahead but have a vague plan of about 7 days in front.
Ham, veg and potato soup currently simmering away in the slow cooker for tea tonight.

  • Hi y'all
I'd like to set.my target as £150 please. I'm away for a week and will put the other weeks £50 towards the spends there.

Elsiepac, I don't think I've heard any one say 'they were in terrible debt, it was the tea addiction that did it'. 😂
  • I'm in again, £125.00 for the month. Includes all groceries, dog food, toiletries and cleaning products. Went over for first time last month. Alcohol once per week only and meal planning should get me back on track. Just for me and my pooch.

Bought petrol yesterday as the car was nearly running on fresh air. Won't be going to the shop today but a day for taking the children to play pool and have something to eat will cost about £20/25 in total. Still not been to the cash point to draw money out for food shopping but hope to do it later as DP is off tomorrow and he is terrible for popping to the shop and spending on extra groceries.

in for another month. couple of big shops planned as i got a 15 quid off 60 at morries x2 which ive used to stock up on cupboard stuff. Also going to try defrosting freezer this week before it arrives as im on my last drawer i have another for 10 off 50 but dont think i need anything . i also wanted to use a lidl voucher but dont think i have freezer space lol. So after vouchers both shops were around the 45 quid mark -the first one will take a paypal balance of 14.70 down which i count as a saving cause i include the spends when i buy a product that gives me cashback

I will be dipping out now due to a housemove and change in circumstances, and will join in July.

My budget from May will then have to cater for DD1 (omni) and GD (dairy free) and myself who is vegan and DD2 (now vegan) who has to complete her exams but rejoining us mid June.

    Good luck.

Good luck with the housemove and hope everything is ok... see you back here in June!

I'm a few days behind in my reconciliations, so not very happy about that, and I had a stupid midweek spend of groceries (basically mostly veg) that I really need most of until the weekend, so I'm a bit annoyed at myself (as usual!!) but I will batch cook a bit to use it up.

QUESTION I'm going to try making a "tofu quiche" using a recipe I found on facebook SW members page - it's literally a pack of siken tofu blended with 100ml veg stock, then you pour that over roasted veggies and bake - will I be able to freeze it after I have made it? I may make little ones for breakfasts next week you see!!
