Weigh in day for me. -1.5LBS yay!
Low carb lent is a bit challenging. Especially when I need a quick feed.
I won't give in though, it is a challenge to my brain and will power and it does help with upping the speed.

Well done on your loss midge and you too gtq.:T

When I try to have low carb/SP meals I find swede & carrot very useful as they're as filling as carbs IMO. So either as mash or I cut carrots into large chunks (new potato size) before boiling or roasting. Roasted butternut squash is good too, a good substitute for parsnips with a roast. I think it's partly psychological too so if I'm putting things on my fork like carbs it works for me.:)

    Have a good holiday gtq.:)

I'm guessing that the veggie sausages would be lower syn than normal ones and hash browns would be about 4 although it's hard to estimate the total syn values. Obviously sirens was determined on a treat so that's fine but breakfasts can be a good SW bet. I'm not a veggie so generally I swap DH's eggs (he doesn't eat them) for my sausages (always the highest syn thing on the plate) and then have the bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans or whatever's available when we have breakfast out. The toast would be about 8 syns as it looks like white sliced so wouldn't count as a HEB.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried egg, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with veggie chilli, cottage cheese and pickled cabbage
D: chicken tray bake (Mediterranean veg and new potatoes)
    Syns: weekend wine!:T

    Afternoon all,

Didn't get round to posting yesterday - I chose to watch TV and have an early night. OH has a heavy cold and been a bit grumpy (needy!) and to be honest I'm a bit pooped myself after a working week too.

Well done on the losses Beanie, midge and gtq

    Yesterday I had:
B - Kvarg quark passion fruit yog (1.5), banana
L - mixed salad with peppered ham, dressing (1.5) cheese HEB; 0% total yog with strawberries & mango
D - Herb & garlic chicken, with SW chips & mixed salad (dressing & ketchup 4)
snack - a few chunks of mango while I cooked tea :)
    HEA2 milk in tea/coffee

    Today's plan:
B - porridge HEB, milk from HEA
L - mixed salad with peppered ham & dressing (2); 0% total yog with strawberries & mango
D - aldi SW chow mein meal & extra veggies
Extra syns - Costa coffee with whole milk (3)
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Wetherspoons? Looks lovely. I often think about going in there for a breakfast. Been with hubby a few times before SW. Are they veggie sausages? How many syns would you estimate for that brekkie? Maybe I will treat myself next week.

I don't know about syns , Penny, but they say over 900 kcal!
And yes veggie (I think vegan) sausages.
  • Morning all

Congrats to Bozwood - that's an incredible achievement :-) Well done to all losers and commiserations to those that haven't lost this week. Onwards and downwards!

Weigh in day for me and I am totally delighted with -4.5lb. That's the 4lb I put on plus a half. I'll take that. Exercise is going well and I am starting to feel fitter already. That is so important to me.

I've been doing SW for five weeks now - so I'm averaging slightly over 2lb a week.

I've a totally naughty day planned for today; got family visiting and I'm hosting breakfast followed by a trip up London. Think I am going to eat my entire week's Syns today :p

That's a brilliant loss lioness. Well done!:T Enjoy your day then draw that line and get back to it.:)

Not sure whether I'm having lunch at home or in the city centre today. If it's out then I'll pick up a salad in Pret or a JP somewhere so just a few syns might be involved.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
    L: JP?
D: chicken 'kiev' (cottage cheese and garlic wrapped in bacon) with SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and green stuff (broccoli and asparagus).
Syns: HP sauce 1, weekend wine:)

We've run out of Half Time Crunchies :footie: so will discuss with DH whether to restock. ;) Not seen greentiger in a while. Hope you're OK. Not seen MrsR or Lush or TopGirl or Tete or Kathrynha for a bit either. Thinking of you all.:A

Well, what a disappointment. Gained half a pound! the hardest thing in the world is when you KNOW you have stuck to plan but gained weight.

It wasn’t helped by the lady I walked in with who thought she might have gained half a STONE as she had made really bad choices all week. She then listed things like Vienetta, pasties, fish and chips, convenience food etc. She LOST 4.5 lbs!!!

I felt sure I had lost at least a pound but I gained!! Earlier in the week I posted how I had not given in to cravings and was so pleased with myself and then this happens! :(
  • I found more convenience food in the freezer (like a couple of small spicy vegan pizzas and a ready made Indian meal). One of the pizzas and the Indian now cooked with oven chips.

I don't understand the 'syn' things, but the chips said they were 5 syn's for 125g, and I cooked half a bag (450g) for two of us, so if I have half the chips, that's ten syns by my counting .... plus the pizza or more likely the Indian meal which I'll probably do a chapati with from the freezer. Keep the pizza (350 Kcal) for tomorrow.

Sorry you've had a bad day tie and penny . :(

If you've stuck to plan, you will see a result penny but sometimes it takes more than one week. Hang in there. :)

It's harder when you are around target weight tie . I find I have to do a week well below maximum syns to get a good loss. If I use all my syns I just maintain these days. :(

I did have lunch in the city. Went to Debenhams cafe (huge queue in Pret) and pleased to say their JPs have improved since I was there last. Salad garnish is back and tuna is decent instead of the mush I had a few months ago. :T I'm counting 2 syns for the mayo.

DH had Crunchie at the football. I didn't. :D
