    Missing that for some reason.

James Wong on Breakfast this morning spoke about vegetables and health, concentrating on getting 5-10 a day.

The first thing he did was to remove the potato.

I love potatoes, so the thought that they were free food would have scuppered me. I don't avoid them completely, but no longer have the mounds I did previously.

Yesterday was my first day back in the slimming world saddle and enjoyed all the food I ate.

Felt no temptation to eat cakes or pancakes that were in the kitchen at work either :)

    Yesterday's food:

B: weetabix (HEB) (HEA) & banana
    L: Chilli & pasta
T: Cheesy cauliflower mash (HEA) & bacon, jacket potato, with salad

Snacks: boiled eggs, grapes, kiwi, Aldi honey flavoured yog (1 syn) Syns also used for milk for tea and coffee.

    Today's food:

    B: Weetabix (HEA)(HEB) & banana
L: Chilli (not sure if I'm having a carb)
T: Bacon, onion, mushroom, courgette omelette &salad

Snacks: grapes, kiwi, yog (1 syn) I might also take some boiled eggs.

That's a great start frankie . Well done! :T All I'd tweak is the fruit and veg. We should have at least a third of food as Speed. It's hard to tell if you've got much in your chilli and banana and grapes don't count. :(. Personally, I average my Speed across the day, with little or none at breakfast and more like 50% at other meals) . My chilli today has the usual onions and tomatoes plus carrot, courgette, mushrooms, peppers and celery. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious as I know you're not new to SW. :o

I must confess to an extra 3 syns last night. I felt hungry because I'd had my dinner earlier so I had toast with cottage cheese. Aldi seem to have a new supplier for cottage cheese. It's firmer and creamier, more like Philadelphia. Certainly worth a try. :)

    Today's EE plan :
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with chilli, pickled cabbage and cottage cheese
D: baked cod, SW chips, cauli steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, green stuff
    Syns : HP sauce 1

I noticed at the weekend that Lidl have started doing the large pots of 0% fat greek yogurt like Aldi do (Fage Total-alike stuff). Only £1.39 a pot too, although my local branch won't have been happy because I bought all the pots they had left :o

    Congratulations Bozwood :)

All feedback and input is appreciated maman

My shopping day is a Saturday and I started slimming world on the Monday so while I had a general idea of things to buy, it'll be a different shopping list this weekend. But, yes, I'm aware there's not as much speed food as I'd like this week.

So, I'm using things up. There's veg involved but not as much as I would usually use to pad things out, but once these meals are eaten, the next ones made will have the extra veg.

Work is crazy busy at the moment so something I can grab from the freezer is perfect.

I'll be making a few meals for the freezer over the next few days.

    Meals today:

    B: Weetabix & banana
    L: Chilli
T: A slightly different chilli, noodles and salad

Snacks/syns: Boiled eggs, grapes, kiwi, yog (1 syn)

I tend to keep most of my syns for weekends and events. I don't feel the need to eat chocolate and crisps everyday and most of the meals I make are syn free.
