Better day yesterday and just had 40g Museli with ff Greek yoghurt and a banana .
Sat yesterday evening and ate the plums I'd taken into DH that he didn't like ,bit tart ,but can confirm that 3/4 lb tar plums is very good for weight loss the next morning!
Not sure what I'll have today ,haveing a freezer use up so it might be SW meat balls ,pasta and veg / salad .
DH seemed a lot better yesterday, could stand with a frame and walked a few steps .L managed to get him back on the bed on my own(no one around )

I tried to find out what was happening but no one knew anything ,including why he had a ct scan yesterday ( he told me the nurses were surprised when the porters turned up)
They are aware I am not happy and will get someone to see us today .
I worked in the NHS for 40 yrs and can recognise bull sh*t when I hear it .
Am reminded of a report many ,many years ago where it was said that if Florence Nightingale was walking the wards with her lamp now ,she'd be looking for the person in charge!!
  • Wow to the losses, some amazing ones this week.

Was supposed to be a good week for me, but things have gone badly wrong so I am trying to do my best. Birthday tomorrow and everyone seems to have decided that I need to start celebrating early, which is a pain as I had factored in everything for the weekend. I can but do my best and not syn for anything I prepare and hope for little synning elsewhere. If I hold my own, it will be a result, if not, it will be recovery mode, after the weekend:eek:
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Suffolksue - sounds like a positive day for DH yesterday but worrying that no-one was around to help with getting him back on to the bed but at least you were able to do it yourself, many people wouldn't have been able to do that - me included as DH is double my weight nearly. Hope your DH will continue to improve and you'll be able to have him back home soon.

I do hope you're able to speak to someone today about why your DH had the CT scan - I really can't believe the nurses wouldn't have known!

It's good that you have a freezer full of SW friendly meals in the freezer to use up. I don't know how we used to manage before the 70s without them - I know I wouldn't be able to as I always cook for 4 and freeze half for another meal rather than having to have the same meal 2 nights running, although I'd be quite happy to have my SW faggots again tonight, they were lovely but could have done with a bit more "flavour", think my dried herbs may need to be replaced as they didn't have as much punch as when I last used them for faggots.

Will back later as making some baked oats at the moment for a late breakfast (had a nice lay in this morning!) and they're nearly ready to be turned.

Well I've had my breakfast and it was lovely! Had some of the S'Mores skinny syrup on mine and DH had the Glazed Donut skinny syrup on his.

    So today's plan:

B - baked oats with skinny syrup, quark & fruit
L - LO cold beef from Sunday with fried up LO potatoes & veg, pickles
D - Egg, chips, beans with pepper & tomatoes, mushrooms

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge oats
Syns - none planned but will definitely have some later as otherwise I'm not going to be having enough Syns over the week:rotfl:. Long time since this has happened!!! Think I might make a pudding of some sort so will just have to have a browse of the website and see what I can make with what I have in.

Some great losses posted! Well done TTDand your wife, how exciting! And bubbs, nice one! Hope both your ops go to plan and OH manages to cook for you, under instruction :rotfl:. Sue, you sound like an amazing lady, your OH is lucky to have you.

Me, OH and the dog are off to Wales for 3 nights on Thursday for a short break in a cottage. Hoping to do lots of lovely walks but do not want to fall of the SW wagon. Am planning ahead with bringing food and thinking about what to cook. I know it is meant to be a holiday, but will be so cross with myself to use it as an excuse to eat rubbish. OH was a bit put out. Am I being unreasonable? Seems such a shame do undo our good work. Will bring treats like we have at home, I have my Mikado sticks, he has his wine, all synned  I guess being in control of what I eat has become a bit of an issue. But it works! Sorry for ramble. Off for WI later today.

Have a good day everyone, wet and gray one here.

Sue DH and I have been married nearly 48 years too! In fact our anniversary is in a couple of weeks time. Where has that time gone?

Glad to hear that you'll be able to speak to a Dr this afternoon and that you have your list ready! Hope it goes well and you get some answers.

I've just made some mini cakes from the PON website and have to say I'm not impressed - they are really heavy and have a weird texture! You're supposed to be able to make 22 small cakes and I only managed to get 10, LOL! If I'd got 22 out of the mixture they'd have been thimble sized:rotfl:. You're supposed to sandwich 2 together with some reduced sugar jam to make mini Victoria sandwiches! Don't think I'll bother sandwiching them together. Will just put a bit on the top and we'll have for pudding tonight with some creme angles (still not 3 small boxes left from when we were in France in February!) and as I have full syns left it'll use some of them up! The "cakes" work out at 1 syn each rather than the 0.5 it says on the website. Will need to work out the syns for the custard but I'm sure it will be well within syns.

Just remeber to enjoy yourselves, its not unreasonable to want to protect your loss whilst on holiday but remeber just be on plan when you can, and choose savvy syns.

    Enjoy yourselfs.

Poundsinbucks The phrase "Be good when you can and careful when you can't" comes to mind.

Definitely enjoy your holiday but try not to be too rigid with the plan. You're only away for 3 nights so you could do a weekly syn bank this week even if you don't usually. It works for a lot of us including myself and Maman.
